10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Art Gallery Lied Education Center for the Arts Mary Zicafoose: IkatThis exhibition will artfully showcase the complex and beautiful resist-dye textile technique called ikat. Mary Zicafoose began experimenting with her own adaptation of the ikat technique, applying it to her work in tapestry and is respected globally for her accomplished work in contemporary weft ikat.

CU in the Classroom: The Decline of the Honey Bee: How Can We Use Technology and Science to Understand the Demise of this Valuable Pollinator?Eppley Building, Room 310In this lecture, Carol Fassbinder-Orth, PhD, professor of biology, will discuss the historical and current state of global honey bee and pollinator health, the implications of pollinator loss on our natural and agricultural ecosystems, and the use of nontraditional techniques in technology and science to better understand and predict honey bee losses.
