CAMP VERITAS!As the camping season begins, please consider send-ing your child to Camp Veritas, a one�week play�and�pray sleep away camp. This camp is open to teens who are entering 7th through 12th grade and will be held at three USA locations during the summer; 1) July 16 �22 it will be held at Mount Saint Mary Col-lege in Newburgh, NY, 2) July 23�29 at Summit Lake Camp in Emmitsburg, MD, 3) August 13�19 at Camp Lakota in Wurtsboro, NY. SHORT CATECHISM OF MARY!!

Chapter 3!42. What difference is there between the sufferings of Jesus and those of the Blessed Virgin?!

The sufferings of Jesus, Who is God, have an infi-nite value: they are redemptive.!

The most holy sufferings of the Blessed Virgin and of Christians have only a finite value: they are solely core-demptive.!!!43. Is not Jesus our unique Savior, our unique Media-tor, our unique Redeemer?!

Yes. Jesus, Who is God, is our unique Savior: it is He Who first saves the Blessed Virgin and then sends her to help us.!! Jesus, Who is God, is the unique Mediator who can redeem us, that is, can give the heavenly Father an infinite compensation for our sins. He is, according to St. Paul, the “one Mediator … who gave himself as ransom for all” (1 Timothy 2:5!6). The Blessed Virgin, who is the holiest of creatures, could give the heavenly Father only the holiest of finite prayers.!! Thus, Jesus is our unique Redeemer; and the Blessed Virgin is our supreme Coredemptrix. Jesus, Who is God, is our unique Mediator in the line of infinite re-demption; and the Blessed Virgin, who is a creature, is our supreme mediatrix in the line of finite coredemption.!!!44. Did Jesus speak of the Blessed Virgin when He was on the Cross?!! Yes. He gave the Blessed Virgin as Mother to St. John and, through him, to all humans beings: “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother” (John 19:26�27).!!!

Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces!45. Is the Blessed Virgin concerned about us from heaven on high?!! Yes. She continues to intercede for the world with her Son Jesus. In the name of the coredemptive prayer that she offers at the foot of the Cross, she obtains all the grac-es of salvation that unceasingly reach human beings.!!!46. Did God have need of the Blessed Virgin?!! God never has need of any creature. !However, in order that we might know how much He loved the world, He willed to choose the Blessed Virgin and to associate her closely with His birth and His sacrifice and in the dis-pensation of His grace.!!!
