As Christians the resurrection of Jesus from the dead sustains our hope. If God the Father can raise His only Son from death to life…imagine what He can do in our lives..if we only allow Him! EASTER RETREAT AT SEMINARY MONDAY APRIL 4 TO WED APRIL 6

WITH FR REPLOGLE (ENGLISH) ENGLISH 3 DAY RETREAT APRIL 4, 5, & 6 Fr Replogle, the Jesuit priest who offers mass here each Sunday, along with Fr Rick will offer a 3 day retreat at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Lloyd Harbor New York on April 4, 5, and 6. The theme of the retreat will be focused on Mercy and Forgiveness. The total cost of the retreat is $225 per person. It includes: round trip transportation, a private room and bathroom for two nights, lunch and dinner on Mon April 4, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Apr 5 and breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, April 6. This will be a wonderful opportunity to get away and spend quality time in prayer with the Lord. There’s more than 200 acres to walk (the grounds are beautiful) and the building includes many chapels, a library as well as other rooms for relaxation. There’s space for 35 people and like last year…the list will fill up quickly. Call the rectory to reserve your spot!

NEW ENGLISH HYMNALS We have purchased about 600 new hardcover hymnals in English for the church and chapel. In order to assist with the cost of these new hymnals we are requesting a $20 donation. You will have the opportunity to donate a hymnal and we will place a sticker of the inside cover. You can donate more than one hymnal. Please choose one of the samples below and return in the Sunday collection with $20.

(18 and over) who would like to receive the sacrament of confirmation on

Pentecost Sunday – May 15, 2016. Here’s what will be required: We will need an updated (new) copy of your certificate of baptism You need to be a registered parishioner of St. Bartholomew and attend mass every Sunday You will need to attend all 5 classes As you know, if you are not married in the church (married civilly) or living in a relationship you cannot receive any sacrament until the issue is resolved. For more information and for registration come to a brief meeting on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30p.m. in Heafey Hall (Ithaca Street). If you have your certificate of baptism bring it with you to the meeting. This will be your last opportunity to register! If you can’t make this meeting, please call the rectory.
