On Sunday, September 18, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., our two churches will volunteer together, supporting several community activities. Church families are encouraged to join in as we move our faith beyond our church walls.

The afternoon begins with opening prayer and blessing in the foyer at Trinity. Immediate following the opening, our church families can participate in one of four community helping activities. Paul Schreiner from Project Neighbors will host a work session at Park Place, new affordable housing for homeless women at the former Sun Appliance building. Kairos volun-teer Tom Muchesko will host a Kairos cookie bake in the Trinity kitch-en. The Lutheran Deaconess Association will host a work day at their location on La Porte Avenue and Avalon Springs Health Campus will host Christ Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran musicians and singers for an afternoon of fellowship and song.
