Children’s Ministry

Children’s Christmas Program Yay!!! We had a great start this past week with this year’s Children’s Christmas Musical, The Night Shift Before Christmas. If your children were not able to make it, it is not too late to get involved! We will have practices on most Wednesday and Friday evenings. We need all the kids at as many of the practices as possible. The kids need to bring their script notebooks back if they took them home. If you have any questions, please contact Sissy Giffin at [email protected] or 619-2592.

Men’s Bible Study The men at Towne South gather two times during the week to study and fellowship around God’s word. One group meets on Wednesday mornings at 6:15 am (Hebrews) and our second group meets on Saturday mornings from 8-9 am (Revolutionary Manhood). Join us as we learn how to help each other become more consistent and godlier men. These meetings are open to all men!

Men’s Ministry

Fall Family Fest - Many Volunteers Still Needed – Sign Up Today ! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to reach out to our community! Towne South invites all families out on Sunday, November 8th from 6-8pm for fall festivities with family and friends. The menu will consist of a variety of hot soups, chili, crackers, and hotdogs. The festivities will include carnival type games throughout the building, as well as outdoor activities which include hayrides, inflatables and a bond fire for roasting (yum…smores). Hey, why not get one more use out of that costume? We invite the children to dress in costume, if they’d like. Please, nothing evil.

We need plenty of folks to help prepare soups and chili, as well as those who will oversee the games. Please check out the back table and find a spot to share and serve for this community outreach event. Any questions, please contact Sissy at [email protected] or 338-2248. Also, there are flyers available on the sign-up table that you can use to invite your friends, family, co-workers, etc.!

Discovery 101 – November 9 & 16 If you’ve been visiting with us and want to know more about the Towne South Church of Christ, if you’ve been thinking about membership at Towne South, or if you’ve never attended the Discovery 101 class, let me encourage you to do so. Our goal is to eventually have every member and attendee complete this class. If you want to discover more about living the Christian life, some of our basic beliefs, and Towne South’s over-all plan and strategy, then this class is for you. Please sign up at the welcome center or online at http://tscoc.com/#/get-connected. The class begins at 6:00. Supper will be provided.

Financial Planning Seminar Here On November 23 Want to know which states will probate your estate when valued as little as $10,000? Which tax on your estate is 40%? Is it true that the amount my children inherit from me can become public information? What is the one and only way I can avoid my IRA or 401K being taxed?

FPM seminars provide a wealth of useable, practical and verifiable information, helping our members avoid unnecessary and sometimes devastating consequences with just some simple pre-planning. We will show you how to get it done. And because we do not sell anything, you can leave your checkbook at home.

The seminar will be at Towne South on Monday evening, November 23, at 7pm. Information will be provided by Financial Planning Ministry.

Christian Life Coaching Available A Christian Life Coach helps people who may be stuck in their lives and unsure of exactly what direction to take. A trained life coach has many tools to help you determine your next step toward a more fulfilled life. If you are not sure if your problem is something a life coach can help with, please ask.

Julie Fields is now a Board Certified Christian Life Coach. Julie is offering Christian life coaching to anyone associated with Towne South at a discounted price of $10 per session. Appointments can be made by emailing [email protected] or by texting 252-339-2327. Julie will work with women, children, families, or couples. Men are welcome if they bring someone else with them to the coaching sessions. Most issues can be addressed in 6 sessions over a period of 6 weeks. Before determining whether or not Julie is a good fit for your coaching needs, Julie offers a free 15 minute session. Appointments can be done either in person or by phone.

Climbing Higher Ministries Day Camp - “A Thanksgiving Feast” The Climbing Higher Ministries Day Camp will be held here at TSCOC on Tuesday November 10th from 10am to 1 pm. Volunteers to help with crafts and serve lunch are always needed. Cupcakes are also needed. We would like to have a nice Thanksgiving Meal for our guests so monetary donations would be appreciated. Please see Gay after church or call her at 333-5164. Thank you for all your help, we couldn’t do it with out you!
