Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved

through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time.

Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus

have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation.

Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or

seek prayers on your behalf by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time.

Senior Sunday and Grad Banquet...We will be honoring all of our graduating high school seniors today during worship service. Make sure to visit the senior table in the foyer area and write a note of blessing and encouragement to each senior. These will be presented to our students tonight at our Grad Banquet.

Crossover / Go Bako Planning Session...If you’d like to help plan the activities for Crossover (Camping Trip) or Go Bako (Service Week), join us for lunch this Tuesday, June 7 from 11a.m.-1p.m. in the church office. Please RSVP to Bryan or Reilly.

Girls’ Group / Guys' Group...We are offering a summer Girls’ Group all summer long! We’ll meet on Mondays at 7p.m. starting June 6. See Traci for more details. The Guys' Group will meet Thursdays at 7p.m. starting June 23. See Bryan or Reilly for more details.

Youth Lock-In...If you love eating junk food at 2a.m., playing The Hunt for Red Balltober and seeing your youth minister get delirious from a lack of sleep, then join us on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:30p.m. - Thursday, June 9 at 7a.m. for an all nighter! We’ll play games, spend some time in worship, and make some lasting memories with one another. Every teen is expected to invite a friend!

Youth Ministry Welcome Excursion...If you are entering 7th grade this Fall, please see Bryan for details about our field trip to welcome you into our student ministry!

Open Gym...If you love playing basketball, volleyball, dodgeball or other games, come check out Open Gym Night at Westside Church of Christ most Tuesdays this summer. This program is sponsored by the Student Ministry at Westside Church of Christ, and is open to all junior high, high school and college students. Snacks are provided free of charge. Invite your friends! The first Open Gym Night will be June 14 from 7-9p.m.

Join us in the Activity Center TODAY after Bible class to honor the Dabbs and Talley families. We ask the following to bring: A-I bring your favorite finger food; J-R bring fruit; S-Z bring a dessert. CARE Groups will not meet during the summer however the CARE Group that meets at the building on Sunday evenings in room #515 at 6p.m. will continue to meet and they will have a potluck this Sunday evening, June 5. If you have any questions please contact Bob Brandenberg. Wednesday evening meals will resume on June 15 from 5:30-6:30p.m. During the summer, all ages are welcome to stay in the Activity Center from 6:30-7:30p.m. for a time of devotional which may include singing and activities. The following classes will still meet: youth/college groups, Praise Team, and women’s class (#521). Mark your Calendar for our annual Vacation Bible School on July 10-13 from 6-8p.m. Be sure to check out the table in the Family Life Center foyer beginning TODAY for a list of items needed to make VBS a great success. Registration is now open for kids ages three through 5th grade at www.groupvbspro.com/vbs/ez/westsidevbs or pick up a registration form at the VBS table. Yosemite Bible Camp (June 12-18) is a week away and we are still looking for camp counselors and in need of sponsorships (full or partial) to help send kids to camp. Sponsorships can be turned into the church office or given to Bryce Patterson or John Patterson. Please see Bryce or John for additional information. Registration forms are located in the Family Life Center foyer at the YBC booth. Young at Heart will have an ice cream social at Rosemary’s on Saturday, June 18 at 12p.m. For more details and to sign up see the YAH bulletin board outside room #515. A BIG THANK YOU to Traci Bramlett and Linda Pearson for helping take care of our library for many years. Peggy Gropp will now be taking care of the library so be sure to thank these ladies for their dedication and hard work on keeping the library organized.
