morning Service on Sunday, April 7th!!

Bill has spoken to us many times before and we are always deeply blessed by his ministry. This would also be a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to visit Middlebury!!

This Sunday will be our second Middlebury Family Luncheon!!

The meal will take place in the Fellowship Hall immediately

following the Service and we are asking that everyone please

bring a soup, salad, or dessert to share while we visit together.

Did you know… Did you know that there was a time capsule buried in an outside wall of Middlebury?? Well, there was and we have unearthed it and are looking forward to revealing its contents to our Middlebury family at this month’s Family Luncheon!!

Besides your hunger (for lunch), your curiosity, you’re your enthusiasm, we need another item from you…

After we revel in the contents of the current time-capsule, we desire to bury a time-capsule of our own for the future Middlebury Chapel congregation. In light of this, we are asking you, current Middlebury Chapel Family Member, to consider what you would like to see placed in the capsule and no, we cannot put Pastor Jim’s truck in there to keep it from being sold…

Seriously - What item or items do you think would best represent who we are as a congregation in 2019 and what impact will these items have on the Middlebury Chapel congregation of 2069??

Do we want to leave a copy of the “Our Daily Bread” devotional?? How about a lyric sheet from a current worship song or a copy of Pastor Jim’s sermon notes?? Maybe a decorated Grace Lunch bag, or perhaps a ladle, a spatula, or a fork to represent the Community Dinners, a list of items we put in a Food Pantry Order, a Bible from the Jail Ministry, or an item of clothing from Sweet Annie’s Closet to represent our Outreach Ministries?? What about a page from Miss Leona’s Sunday School crafts, a toy from the nursery, a letter from Mrs. Gergon’s class to the future Kinderchurch members, or a page copied from our current Youth Group Study book, “Growing Up Christian” to illustrate how we ministered to our youths?? What about a page from the ARC Manual?? Lastly, how about a picture of our congregation??

Please think about this request and be prepared to share your opinion at Sunday’s Meal.

Bill Jeynes, of God’s Love Ministries, will be speaking at Middlebury Chapel on April 7th at 10:00 a.m. and we would like to invite you to join us!!

Presently based in Southern California, Bill has served as a missionary/evangelist since 1982 and in ministry since 1978. He is married to a wonderful wife, Hyelee, and has three precious children.

Bill and his family have ministered in 25 nations and 49 states in the country. He has spoken several times at Yoido Full Gospel Church in Korea, the largest church in the world. He has spoken for the White House, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, the National Press Club, UN delegates, members of Congress, the Acting President of South Korea, Harvard University, the Harvard Family Research Project, Cambridge University, Oxford University, Columbia University, Duke University, Notre Dame University, and many other well-known universities. More than 200,000 people have come to the Lord through God’s Love Ministries and about 225,000 have been healed. He has served as a consultant for the US and several foreign governments. Lastly, he is regularly listed in Who’s Who in the World.

Bill and Hyelee believe it is only by God’s grace that these doors have opened. And they believe that they are examples of the fact that God uses donkeys. Bill graduated first in His class at Harvard University and he is also a graduate of the University of Chicago, where he received the Rosenberger Award for being the cohort’s best student. He currently is a professor at Cal State - Long Beach and he is a Senior Fellow at the Witherspoon Institute on the campus of Princeton University. He previously taught at other colleges and graduate schools, including the University of Chicago, USC, and Hillsdale College.

Bill and Hyelee believe strongly in the value of every individual before God. Calling All Youths!! This Sunday, we will continue

working on our maker space for with our Youth and we will continue

our work on restoring and updating the sanctuary ceiling light

fixtures to make them beautiful with color

This will be a continuing workshop and all youths are welcome to attend any or all of the

remaining workshop sessions

Attendees will be learning basic electric and wiring of standard

and multicolored LED lights

We will studying the Book of James - It would be very helpful if everyone could please read Chapter One before the Study

and be ready to share

Remember: To simply read the Bible is not enough- It is just as important to understand what you have

read to be able to live out what Jesus teaches.

The second Wednesday of March, April, and May, the ladies of Middlebury Chapel have a room reserved at 9:30 a.m. at the Artisan Coffee shop in Ellet. All women are welcome to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and/or breakfast or just hang out together and spend time getting to know each other better.

There will be a Middlebury Family Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall immediately following Service on the last Sundays in March, April, and May. Please bring a soup, salad, or dessert to share.
