Prayer Concerns

Wednesday Bible Study

First Ozark’s Wednesday Bible Study will be returning on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 12 noon in the fellowship hall. We will be starting “New Testament Stories from the Back Side” by J. Ellsworth Kalas. Kalas takes Bible stories that we have heard growing up and retells them in unique ways, such as, “through the eyes of a minor or unsympathetic character,” or through a different starting point of the story. This Bible study will light a new spark within our all-time favorite Bible stories.

Run for god

First Ozark is excited to announce a new Bible study experience. Starting January 26, 2020, we

will have a Run for God Bible study. This is a 12-week program for anyone who loves to walk or

run. The program fee is $25 per participant and includes: a training manual, a running journal,

access to a 12-week 5K challenge podcast, a challenge manual, a tee, and a car decal. The Run for

God Bible study will meet in the First Ozark Family Life Center every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. To

register, contact the church office at 334-774-2569.

Scale Back Alabama

It’s the new year, and we want to help you become a new you. Scale Back Alabama is a free statewide weight-loss campaign designed to encourage Alabamians to get healthy and to have fun doing it! Weigh-in dates and times are: Wednesday, January 23, 2020 9:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. & 3:00—6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2020 9:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. & 3:00—6:00 p.m. Weigh-ins will be in the FLC. For more information, contact Les Perault at 334-774-0990.

Welcome to Nash Carrington

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is excited to announce that Nash Carrington has accepted the

position of Interim Communications Coordinator for our church. Nash is a long-time member of First

Ozark and a gifted member of the Now@9 praise band. Having recently graduated from Auburn

University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in media studies, Nash brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and

enthusiasm to our Communications Coordinator position.

Men’s breakfast

On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. the United Methodist Men will hold their Men’s

Breakfast. The location has been changed to the fellowship hall. We encourage all men to attend

and to invite a friend to join.
