Cellular Respiration is the cellular process responsible for the color change from blue to yellow in Tube S-3.

The other tubes did not change color because the plants are going through photosynthesis.

Both animals and plants go through the process of of cellular respiration. In the first test tube in the presence of sunlight, the plant is able to photosynthesize and produce enough oxygen to prevent the formation of carbonic acid. In the second test tube there is no light energy to power photosynthesis. Both the plant and the snail are going through cellular respiration resulting in the formation of carbonic acid.

Everyone needs to get a Holt biology textbook and two copies of the leaf

and arrow diagrams and then break into equal

lab groups.
