Our contemporary art centre is one of London’s leading prestigious art spaces with two floors of stunning exhibition space, as well as large display windows. Prestigious fine art collectors and professional artists in particular have contributed to our collection.

Sunny Art Centre strives to represent the most unique and innovative artists who aim to push the boundaries of visual art. Our curatorial philosophy is to celebrate cultural diversity by bringing together artists from all over the world. We represent both emerging and established artists working with a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, and mixed media. The art centre frequently hosts free group and solo art exhibitions several times a year, as well as forums and lectures which allow artists and art students to share knowledge and network amongst peers.

Jeff SoanJeff studied Art and Design at Goldsmith's College in the late 60's, taught for a few years, travelled for a while, married, started a family and a building business during the 70's. He gave up building in the mid 80's when his knees, back and some clients started troubling him.

A chance encounter with a wobbly rat from Chile changed his life. He was so inspired by this articulating folk toy that he joined a course in toy making at the London College of Furniture, successfully completing the City and Guilds course. He set up his garden workshop in 1987, making toys which were sold at the local craft market in Greenwich. After a year of selling many new designs he eventually returned to the articulating creatures that had so fascinated him and sales really took off and he started developing many different creatures incorporating the technique.

Jeff joined the British Toymakers Guild in 1989. His distinctive talent was quickly recognised and he was awarded the Polka Prize in 1989, the coveted title " Toymaker of the Year" in 1995 and 2000 and the Guild cup in 1990, 1993,1994,1995 and 1999. 'My work reflects equally a love of creatures, great and small, and a love of wood.My earlier training as an artist and more lately as a toymaker has led to objects which can be seen as playful sculpture or perhaps sculptural toys but I generally refer to it as Wobbly Wood.I try to express the essential nature of the animals, birds, and fish I create, sometimes by simplification, sometimes by attention to detail and very often by the sinuous movement achieved with the technique of articulation. A large part of my work in recent years has been investigating the possibilities of this wobbly wood which is created by cutting the wood into narrow sections and securing it to canvas.

Jacob Crivello'In my work I attempt to create emotion through re-imagined micro-landscapes where contemporary figures are dwarfed by landscapes of craggy moss-covered rocks, sandy cliff edges, watery gulleys, sparse vegetation, tiny alpine flowers. Couples in quiet dialogue, individuals sitting alone in contemplative, often melancholic poses, resonate with emotional force and feel curiously reminiscent of the well-known Victorian watercolourists and poets. Positioned under glass domes these landscapes are micro-worlds we can view from a reassuringly safe distance indicative of curiosities in a 19th century museum collection yet at the same time offer a haunting reminder of a world depleted in natural resources through climate change.'

Dominique Prins

'Art has always been my passion but it wasn’t until the year 2000 that I discovered the ideal form of expression for my work; sculpture and bronze statues. Within a relative short period of time, I created my own personal style.

The theme of my work is ‘the woman’, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Working without model or photo, I combine opposites like simplicity and exaggeration, delicacy and robustness, resulting in elegant positions in frozen movement. Natural forms with a touch of humor.

I am searching out the limits of the esthetic without compromising my desire for harmony and elegancy, which makes the work of art even more powerful.

Since 2003, I have also been teaching sculpture in my workshop ‘Atelier La Salamandre”.

“The bronze sculptures by Dominique Prins are an expression of rhythm that covers the entire female body, sometimes minimized and composed, sometimes introspective and then again challenging, each time adding a magnified aesthetic to the graceful figure. In portraying the female body the artist skilfully shapes the expression she is looking for in pure form thereby adding a serene sensuality to the elongated or the plump, all in her own style, her personal language of forms.

Her sculptures can be both frivolous and reflective, voluptuous and stylized, elongated and playful, without ever losing their natural charm and grace; a never boring feast for the eyes and a tribute to the female body.”

Bruce Denny

Born in 1967 in Suffolk, England, Bruce Denny has always been fascinated by how things work, their form and their structure. Following successful careers in science and The City Of London, Bruce only recently discovered a talent for sculpture. His love of the human form and function placed figurative works at the centre of his interest, and he signed up for a course at Morley College to introduce him to the techniques of life modelling in clay, which brought together all his skills and experiences. The Pieces. After exploring Humanity and Interaction, Bruce turned his attention to MORTALITY. To be mortal is to live in the now, to be the best that we can be, to live life to the full, to be mindful of the delicate balance of life, but not to let it limit us in what we do, for our actions today have a profound impact on society and the way we might be remembered.

Andrzej Szymczyk

Andrzej Szymczyk’s sculpture is founded in hyperrealism in human and animal forms which he then blends with varying degrees of expressive interpretation. Careful study and deep analysis of the anatomy of every subject he sculpts enables him to recreate the subtlest tensions of musculature and movement, and to articulate his vision with high levels of accuracy. This deep understanding of physical characteristics gives Andrzej the ability to manipulate and create something new, rather than recreate the reality. He strives for his sculptures to have an emotional impact on the viewer, to call to mind memories or to tell stories, as if each has its own spirit that is emerging from within.

AntonioLopez Reche

Antonio finished his Fine Arts degree in 1999 at Barcelona's University and his Erasmus exchange at Central St Martins in London where his research in the field of sculpture focused mainly on installation and conceptual art. Antonio's work has evolved considerably into further fields.

While still producing non-figurative pieces, his main focus over the past eighteen years has been to develop a body of work having mythology as the central theme of his figurative bronzes.

While mythology might be the central theme for this group of works, the essence of them is the actual act of modelling and creating forms that convey movement, strength and his interest in capturing the rawness of materials such as clay, wax or plaster into bronze as well as the expressive energy of tools marks and spontaneous modelling.
