sunset paradise

Sunset Paradise The sun coos to her companion the moon, telling him that he can shine his light. Her rays kiss the waves of the ocean, decorating them in a raspberry, lilac beam, the prettiest sight in the world. Walking along the ocean shore, I see her wink at me. Her glow so radiant, I shield my eyes, but still try and catch a look at her beauty. My feet drown into the mushy sand, as I now stand still, marveling the ocean’s transformations. The late summer’s breeze swirls around me, it is the messenger of night to the beach, warning people of the coming darkness. The sky changes from ruby to ebony black, like a room going from light to dark, just when you flick the switch. The moon tiptoes out from his hidden hideaway in the sky, Creating shimmering shafts of light unto his wonderful little dollhouse called Earth. The ocean waves crash soothingly unto their banks full of copper shells, each one a treasure for all who find them. As I breathe in the sounds, sights, and smells of the ocean sunset, I wish that I could stay there forever. Bethany Bella, Grade 7 Gahanna Middle School East, OH

The sun coos to her companion the moon, telling him that he can shine his light. Her rays kiss the waves of the ocean, decorating them in a raspberry, lilac beam, the prettiest sight in the world. Walking along the ocean shore, I see her wink at me. Her glow so radiant, I shield my eyes, but still try and catch a look at her beauty. My feet drown into the mushy sand, as I now stand still, marveling the oceans transformations. The late summers breeze swirls around me, it is the messenger of night to the beach, warning people of the coming darkness.
