Cutting Directions:

WOF = width of fabric from selvage to selvage. Label all pieces with the letters given in the cutting list. These letters are used to identify the pieces throughout the instructions.

22720 V: Light Pink Chevron Stripe• Cut (2) 8⅞" x WOF strips; recut into (8) 8⅞" A squares

22720 Q: Light Blue Chevron Stripe• Cut (2) 8⅞" x WOF strips; recut into (8) ⅞" C squares

Blocks:Note: Use a ¼" seam allowance for all stitching.

1. Cut 4 light pink A squares in half diagonally from upper right to lower left to make 8 A triangles, paying careful attention to the direction of the stripe in the squares before cutting. Cut the 4 remaining light pink A squares in half diagonally from upper left to lower right to make 8 A1 triangles. Repeat with the dark pink B squares to make 4 B and 4 B1 triangles.

2. Repeat step 1 with light blue C and dark blue D squares to make 6 C, 6 C1, 6 D, and 6 D1 triangles. Repeat with light gray E and dark gray F squares to make 10 E, 10 E1, 10 F, and 10 F1 triangles.

3. Sew a light pink A triangle to a dark pink B triangle to make an 8½" x 8½" AB block. Press seam toward the B triangle. Repeat to make 8 AB blocks total. Repeat with light pink A1 triangles and dark pink B1 triangles to make (8) 8½" x 8½" AB1 blocks.

4. Stitch a light blue C triangle to a dark blue D triangle to make an 8½" x 8½" CD block. Press seam toward the D triangle. Repeat to make 6 CD blocks total. Repeat with light blue C1 triangles and dark blue D1 triangles to make (6) 8½" x 8½" CD1 blocks.

5. Sew a light gray E triangle to a dark gray F triangle to make an 8½" x 8½" EF block. Press seam toward the F triangle. Repeat to make 10 EF blocks total. Repeat with light gray E1 triangles and dark gray F1 triangles to make (10) 8½" x 8½" EF1 blocks.

Refer to the quilt center assembly diagram and quilt drawing as needed for the following steps.

1. Arrange the blocks in 8 rows with 6 blocks and 7 black G strips in each row. Stitch the blocks and strips together in each row. Press seams toward the black G strips.

2. Sew 6 black G strips alternately together with 7 gray H squares to make a sashing row. Press seams toward the black G strips. Repeat to make 9 sashing rows total.

3. Join the block rows and sashing rows to complete the 55½" x 73½" quilt center. Press seams toward the sashing rows.

4. Sew the 1½" x WOF black texture strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 73½" strips and two 57½" strips. Sew the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom to complete the quilt top. Press seams toward the strips.

5. Remove the selvage edges from the backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a ½" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the top and bottom edges to make a 65" x 83" backing piece. The seam will be side to side on the back of the quilt.

6. Layer, quilt, and bind using your favorite methods and the black texture binding strips to complete the quilt.
