The ProgramComputer information systems professionals connect the world of work with the world of technology: they help people identify, analyze, and solve problems by applying technology. Do you like challenges? Do you like variety? Do you aspire to become a “C-level” executive someday (CIO, CTO, CSO, CCO, CKO)? If so, you should strongly consider our computer information systems degree program.

Students acquire basic skills in computer systems areas including programming, database management, and business. In addition, the program emphasizes knowledge of business applications through a combination of theory and practical learning. Advanced electives are selected to match individual interests with professional goals and prepare students for opportunities in varied fields after graduation.

The Utica CampusLocated on hundreds of wooded and landscaped acres, the Utica campus is a beautiful living and learning environment. Freshmen live in the new Oriskany Residence Hall, one of three residential complexes, and enjoy an expanding array of facilities that includes a new student center and field house. Life on campus is enriched by a wide variety of events and activities, including the Wildcats’ championship-winning intercollegiate athletics program and a weekly menu of intramurals, concerts, comedians, and more. Students can join one of the dozens of clubs and organizations or start one with a group of friends who share an interest.
