So are economies actually becoming more innovative?
Russian economist Nikolai Kondratieffsuggested the existence of long economic cycles in capitalistic economies.
He also favoured the development of agriculture and production of consumer goods over heavy industry.
In September 1938 Kondratieff was executed by firing squad for his ideas.
