ISLAMIC VIEWS: Major cause is lack of faith in ALLAH. Belief in superstitions is considered to

be a grave act of shirk, or ascribing partners to Allah, which is the one and only sin that Allah Almighty will not forgive.

All things that happen to us, good and bad, come at a time appointed by Allah as a means to test who is the best in faith.

black magic is forbidden, the antidote of it is allowed even though the latter carries the possibility of misuse

CONCLUSION:

There is no such thing as…superstition.

Superstitions have no applications in today's life. So we, should not follow the superstitions that were passed on to us by our ancestors.
