was the fundamental idea behind Danish Marine & Offshore Group (DMOG) when the association was created in 2001 as a sales network for suppliers and manufacturers within the offshore and marine industries. Today, the association still works according to this idea.

The goal of the association is to create a new platform for cooperation and knowledge sharing across trade lines matching the latest customer demands, and to promote Danish export of marine and offshore products by creating joint system solutions. DMOG’s members’ target group comes from the offshore or shipping industries or are ship builders connected to the offshore sector. Today, these customers are to a higher extent looking for system solutions rather than single products. Due to global competition and demand for greater cost efficiency, the oil and gas industry looks for new innovative ways of doing business, for example alliancing, outsourcing and partnering. Knowledge sharing and cooperation between manufacturers and suppliers through networks like DMOG create synergy and innovation of great advantage to customers.

...from the managementa word...The Danish offshore supplier association “Danish Marine & Offshore Group” is proud to present our members in the catalogue for 2015. Danish Marine & Offshore Group (DMOG) is a non-profit, member-based organisation – inde-pendent of any governmental support. The association has been active for 14 years now.

The main objective is to help its more than 100 well-respected member com-panies to pursue global opportunities and make their business grow by offering their competence as suppliers of products and services to the offshore sector. DMOG organises seminars, workshops, member meetings, trade missions and participates in oil and gas exhibitions worldwide such as Subsea Valley 2015 in Oslo, OTC 2015 in Houston, O&M Offshore Expo 2015 in Fredericia, OGA 2015 in Kuala lumpur, Offshore Europe 2015 in Aberdeen and OTD 2015 in Stavanger. DMOG is a member of EUROnet – a collaboration of oil and gas organisations in Europe – and works together with a wide network of Interna-tional Partners.

The past year has still been affected by the global financial crisis, but 2015 looks promising in spite of the low oil price. We find optimism in projects for opera-tion and maintenance in the oil and gas industry. It is nice to see that the oil companies are investing in modifications and life time extension on existing sites and we still see capital investments in projects and exploration. Danish suppliers will certainly have the possibility of strengthening their position on supply of future technology. Furthermore, the global awareness of the climate changes is still providing opportunities for the Danish wind and wave industry.

Our member companies are positive about the future and the positive signs from the global markets are creating a wealth of opportunities for the establish-ment of new business. DMOG will focus on strengthening its know-how and business opportunities as well as building alliances and exploring new markets. The advantages of such alliances include among others better power of pene- tration, economies of scale, resource optimisation, competence lift and effec-tive administration. Moreover, this kind of alliances strengthens the image and visibility of the individual company. Geographically we will continue our work in Europe, USA, and the Middle and Far East and also expand to the Middle and South Americas, China, Russia as well as Arctic area.
