bled at three plants in Germ
any – Leipzig, Regensburg and Munich – and in Rosslyn, South
Africa. The company plans to build a com
bined 350,000 units of the new
3 series at the four plants this year. BMW
is responsible for off-lineassem
bly of cockpit, front-end and door modules at its M
unich plant.Faurecia assem
bles the front ends and seats for the new 3 series in
Leipzig, Regensburg and Rosslyn. Optional technology seen on the latestgeneration 5 series, w
hich debuted in 2003, is filtering down to the new
3 series. For example, Robert Bosch supplies adaptive cruise control.
