WELCOME TO THE CITY OF HAMMHamm is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The city is located in the northeastern part of the Ruhr Area with a population of nearly 180‘000.

Hamm is easily accessible via its well developed highway network. The city is in close proximity to the Autobahn A1 and A2 and features a great access to public transport. Hamm‘s main station is one of the biggest railway hubs in Germany and is connected with one of the greatest marshalling yards of Europe. Because of its location near the Ruhr area, Hamm offers a wide range of travel desinations and countless opportu-nities for freetime activities such as shopping in Essen, watching a soccer game in Dortmund or partying in Cologne.

Furthermore Hamm offers a fully developed bus network, that is mana-ged by the „Stadtwerke Hamm“. The central bus station is located next to the main railway station in the centre of Hamm. On a daily basis more than 65 buses are on the route. About 12 million people are using the bus every year, transported by the 65 buses with 500 bus stops within the city.

All in all Hamm is a young, creative university town located in Germany‘s Ruhr district and offers all the advantages of a metropolitan region.

THE SRH HAMMThe SRH University Hamm has specialized in sectors with outstanding career perspectives - logistics management, energy management, general management and social work. Our academic programes include Bachelor‘s degrees in industrial en-gineering, logistics and the energy industry. In 2015 we established a new faculty and a special institute, which offers the bachelor-program „social work“. All of our programs can be completed as classroom-based or distance-learning programes as well as under the dual profes-sional education system. In addition to that the SRH Hamm offers an on-site degree program in business administration. The Master‘s degree programes include logistics and supply chain management, energy ma-nagment and business administration.

Practical experience and professional training sessions are a major part of our degree programes. Our students work on research projects for the industry as well as for businesses to ensure a high level of practical professional competence. Our research cluster focuses on the fields of green logistics and supply chain management.

PROVEN QUALITYSTANDARDSThe state recognition

Since 2001, the Scientific Council performs the institutional accreditation of private universities. It is a process of quality assu-rance. It should clarify whether a non-governmental higher education institution is able to guarantee a level of teaching and research which corresponds to recognized scientific standards. The aim of the process is to ensure the scientific performance of a higher education institution.

The SRH University Hamm has been recognized as an institution providing excellent higher education by the ministry of North Rhine-Westfalia since its inception in 2005. Thus, any academic degrees of the SRH University Hamm are completely equivalent to state universities.

The scientific accreditation

The university itself received its scientific accreditation as an institution as well as for its various courses by the accreditation agencies AQAS, AHPGS and ZEVA. Furthermore the SRH Hamm bears the quality seal of the German Accreditation Council. Accreditation ensures adherence to pre-defined quality criteria. Our students can be sure that our courses are generally acknowledged with their high academic level on the market.

Furthermore a ‚B2‘-certificate in German language is presuppoded.
