Dear Parent/Carer
I write to inform you of some changes to staffing here at the Academy.
Miss Fegan in the Art department started maternity leave at Easter. We were able to provide cover for her classes during the summer term but this has now come to an end. All S3 option, National certificate, Higher and Advanced Higher classes will now be taken by Mrs Munro-Main. All S1/2 classes will continue with 1 period a week of Art with Mrs Munro-Main. For this term Mrs Bregazzi is going to provide Art project work in the second period of time allocated to Art. We will look at provision again after the October holiday.
Mrs Paterson and Mrs Farrell were appointed as Depute Head Teachers in other schools at the end of last term. We have put in place temporary acting cover for these Support Manager posts until we can make permanent appointments. Mrs MacLeod, Mr Houston, Miss Robertson and Mrs Ovenstone will share the pupil caseloads. We shall see all pupils in the next few days to introduce their acting Support Manager. 2 permanent appointments will be made as soon as possible. I will keep you informed of the outcome.
As a result of these acting arrangements there are a number of temporary alterations to timetables for pupils. We have endeavoured to ensure that the disruption is minimised but as there is shortage of subject specialist supply staff we cannot provide full cover for all affected classes. Please be assured however that we are doing everything possible to ensure that every pupil continues to receive a high quality curriculum here at Invergordon Academy.
