SUPPORT OUR AGING RELIGIOUS
December 2017
Dear Benefactors and Friends of SOAR!,
I am pleased to present to you the financial summary of the work of SOAR! for the fiscal year June 30, 2016 – July 1, 2017. While these pages give a snapshot of the revenue and expenses of the past year, the only way to really understand what happened in the last 12 months is for me to share words of gratitude from the congregations that benefit from your support of SOAR!
“The new adjustable senior friendly beds are set up in the rooms, and the men are so pleased! One of our senior priests mentioned how he no longer fears falling out of bed when he wakes suddenly during the night. The Passionists thank you for helping our senior members rest better. ” - Passionists of the Holy Cross
“The new windows were installed and we are so pleased. The windows will truly make a significant different in keeping us warm with lower fuel expenses, too.” - Medical Missionaries of Mary
“The automatic door was installed at our residence for the infirm and elderly. Those who live here are extremely pleased with the new door which saves them much effort and gives them added freedom.” - Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity
The generosity of all of the faithful friends of SOAR!, combined with careful resource management and good stewardship, have enabled this organization to operate from a position of strength and confidence. The administrative and fundraising costs relative to program costs are at a record low for SOAR!
My hope for the future of SOAR! is that we will continue to meet the needs of aging religious, in significant ways, so that all men and women religious will continue to live safely . . .with dignity . . . and with God’s protection and love.
With prayers of gratitude,
Sister Kathleen Lunsmann, IHM President
