As SWIFT continues to evolve its service offerings and to upgrade the network infrastructure, frequent changes are needed to optimize individual companies usage of SWIFT. SWIFT and the Corporate Community It is not just banks and financial institutions that are looking to connect to SWIFT. In the last four years, the number of Corporates connecting to the SWIFT network has quadrupled including more than 40 corporate clients who connect to SWIFT through the SWIFT Access Service. It is a flexible, scalable service with customers ranging in size from large multinationals to smaller entities with more modest turnovers.

The Benefits of SWIFT Without the Disadvantages The SWIFT Access Service runs on SWIFT’s Alliance interface software, and has the highest levels of security and resilience both on-site and at an off-site recovery facility. Bottomline offers a fully managed service, including assistance with testing and tailored training to ease the technology and business ramp-up involved in connecting to SWIFT.

Customers Choose from a Number of Connection methods, including internet-based or dedicated lines, depending on the service(s) required. Bottomline secures the connectivity in a number of different ways. The most basic implementation uses an Internet browser to prepare messages or transfer files to the service bureau for transmission of the SWIFT network, with security enhanced through the use of SSL and RSA keys. More complex users may generate messages or files on front or back-office systems which are automatically routed to the service, via a number of real-time messaging options, which may also require the transformation of data by SWIFT Access Services to and from the appropriate SWIFT formats.
