WHY is it so hard to stop the oil?
The pressure at this depth of water is approximately the same as that at the end of the barrel of a 12 gauge shot gun when it goes off.
The temperature in the earths crust at this depth increases, the oil exiting the seabed was at a temperature of between 120/170 degrees C.
