NEW SLETTER SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM UPDATES Recycling Our green stations continue to go strong, keep using them to recycling your bottles and cans, paper, cardboard and glass! We have started incorporating new items for recycling: Pallets - contact [email protected] or leave pallets on the Delp dock for recycling Batteries - Alkaline must still be trashed, but lithium batteries can be recycled through EHS Green Teams We are happy to announce we are working with Kansas City area sports teams to start green team programs! Green teams are groups of volunteers that help fans at sporting events collect and sort their recycling while educating them on sustainability. First chance sign ups are extended to our recycling champions - see "Save the Date" section and email us at [email protected] for more information or to sign up! CUPANION TEAM UPDATES SAVE THE DATE - 2019 August winner: Rosa Meagher September winner: James Hawthorne October winner: Jeff Gilliland November winner: Emily Knipp December winner: Serra Goodman The current Cupanion app went offline on December 31, 2018. When you open the app you should be prompted to download the "Fill it Forward" app, which will replace the Cupanion app. This app allows you to track your reuse and see how it is helping donate water to those in need The Fill it Forward app can be downloaded here: Sustainability Coordinator - Ron Phelps Ron started as recycling technician in June of this year and moved into the sustainability coordinator role in October. Congratulations Ron! Strategy Operations Analyst - Emily Knipp We are excited to welcome Emily to the sustainability team, she started as the recycling technician in October and moved into her new role in December.
