Sustainable Vegetable Garden in the

School Campus

As the saying goes, ‘ Sow a thought , and you reap

an act; sow an act, and you reap a habit…’ . It was the thought of sowing that pushed us to act

on growing a vegetable garden in our school

campus. With the encouragement from our

Principal, Ms.Anjali Razdan, the Scouts & Guides of

the school, took an initiative in creating a small,

sustainable vegetable garden.

Seeds of Tomato, Beans, Brinjal, Ladies Finger and leafy vegetables like

Fenugreek, Spinach, Amaranthus and Coriander which were purchased from

the dept.of Horticulture were sowed by the Scouts & Guides of Grade 9.

This activity is a part of the curriculum.
