CONTENT-

INTRODUCTIONIndia, being a developing country, important objective of all planning should ensure balanced regional development. The ultimate aim of planning village development process is to raise the living standards of poor as well as to provide healthy environment to the local people in which they can live peacefully, comfortably and work efficiently with minimum friction. An art of shaping and guiding the physical growth of the Village creating buildings and environments to meet the various needs such as social, cultural, economic and recreational and to provide healthy conditions for both rich and poor to live, to work, and to play or relax, thus bringing about the social and economic well-being for the majority of mankind.

• Villages are the smallest units of the country where people use to live with their community.• Villages should be developed to overcome following problems-1. No supply of water2. No provision of sanitation system3. No proper electricity4. No health facilities5. No primary education6. No communication and transportation facilities

METHODOLOGY

Preliminary Survey: • Total number of households surveyed: 150• Total number of people surveyed: 790• Aspects covered under the survey: • Economy• Utility services and satisfaction level• Challenges posed by the villagers • Changes as suggested by the villagers

VISION:

Improvement of the quality of life and economic well being of the people, to

make it self sustainable.

Prevent distress migration from rural to urban areas, which is a common phenomenon in India’s villages due to lack of opportunities and facilities that guarantee a decent standard of living.

Make the model village a “Centre” that could attract resources for the development of other villages in its area.

Contribute towards social empowerment by engaging all sections of the community in the task of village development.

Create and sustain a culture of cooperative living for inclusive and rapid development..

To generate economy and carry out overall development of the village.
