II remember, I was still in my high school when I decided to continue my studies in the United States. My agency in Indonesia gave me plenty of college applications for me to choose from and it was hard for me to pick one of those. There were so many aspects that me and my parents had to agree upon…we wanted the best environment for my education. Finally from a recommendation from my friend in Seattle, I chose Edmonds Community College.
The first time I arrived in United States, I was amazed by the hospitality of the Indonesian community at Edmonds Community College. Everyone was so caring and helpful to me, especially when I was still adapting to my new lifestyle here. I am so grateful that my selection of Edmonds
Community College was not a mistake. I found that this college has many benefits compared to other colleges in the Seattle area. Edmonds CC has a great study environment, experienced teachers and staff, suitable classroom size, and a warm international community that helps students adapt to American life. Edmonds CC also offers the EdPass which my friends from other colleges are very envious; this free buss pass indeed helps students with access to free local transportation.
It has been a year since my first day at Edmonds Community College. I am planning to transfer to the University of Washington after I get my AS (Associate of Science degree) next year. I am also currently working in International Student Services Office as a member of the Global Culture Crew-my goal is to help international students who are planning to study at Edmonds Community College. I recommend Edmonds Community College for those who want to study abroad.
