Retirement
For 24 years, Colleen Dempsey has taught the children of Dixon to swim.
From swimming lessons to the SPLASH program, from the Dixon Family YMCA to the Timber Creek pool, she has taught thousands of children the joy of swimming.
She has encouraged the older generations to stay fit and active.
She also has taught hundreds of teens to guard the lives of those swimmers in her lifeguard classes.
Hundreds more learned first aid and CPR from her in those years.
And in her early days at the YMCA, she coached the Dixon Dolphin swimmers and encour-aged them to achieve their own goals.
From her “Special Olympics kids” to her “gym and swim” tots,
her swimming lesson kiddos, to her “water aerobics” group, and her “lap swim” folks, to her life-guards and swim staff, she loved you all.
From our family to you, thank you for loving her back.
Thank you for being part of her YMCA family for the past 24 years.
Please join us as we celebrate Colleen’s “Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy” retirement from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at the Dixon Elks Lodge.
Congratulations Mom,Love,Bob, Becca (Jason), Amy (Brian),
Mandy (Kyle), and Patrick (Erin); and your grandkids, Natalie, Ava, Callie, Greta, Luke, and Brooklyn
