The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Linda Carter of Brighton; her fiancé is the son of Kent Gravert of Viola and Sue Costello of Morrison.

The bride-elect is a 2013 graduate of Greenville College, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She is a hospital-ity specialist at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. In the fall, she will attend St. Louis University to begin an accelerated Master of Science degree in the nursing program.

Her fiancé is a 2011 graduate of Green-ville College, with a bachelor’s degree in religion. He is employed at Syngenta Seeds’ research station in Highland.

The couple are planning a June 2014 wedding in Brighton.

Mike and Lori have four chil-

dren, Vicki (Rodney) Frey of Dixon, Emily Hubbell of Chi-cago, Derek Hubbell of Dixon, and one son, Travis Hubbell, lost to cancer.

They have two grandsons, Brennan and Gavin Frey, who keep them busy and young.

They both enjoy gardening, boating, going to concerts together, and spending time with family.
