The bride is the daughter of Rick and Deb Bowers of Dixon.

The groom is the son of Tom and Karen Dinges of Sublette.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Serving as matrons of honor were Ali Barclay of Villa Park and Ashley Ebert of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Serving as bridesmaids were Jill Schmitz of Panama, Iowa, and Jill Black and Molly Hayes, both of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Serving as best man was Rusty Wit-tenauer of Dixon.

Serving as flower girl was Camryn Ebert of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Serving as ring bearer was Grady McLaughlin of Amboy.

The reception was held at the Men-dota Civic Center.

The bride is a graduate of Newman Central Catholic High School and Drake University. She is employed by Wipfli, LLP. The groom is a grad-uate of Amboy High School and Illinois State University. He is self-employed as a farmer.

The couple resides in Amboy.

She was born Oct. 21, 1910, and was married to the late Marcus Barsema.

She has one daughter, Claribel “Clair” Sack, and the joy of five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchil-dren, and six great-great-grandchil-dren.

She has been a member of the Morrison Methodist Church since 1940 and always has been active in organizations for the helping of oth-ers. Over her lifetime, she worked at Donichy’s Drug Store, G.E., Quinn’s Jewelry Store, and Golden Meals.

Amanda Clauson and Aaron Mosh-er were united in marriage at 2 p.m. April 20, 2013, at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville, Iowa, surrounded by family and friends with Fr. Noah Diehm officiating the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Brad and Sherri Clauson of Strawberry Point, Iowa.

Parents of the groom are John and Peggy Mosher of Prophetstown.

Amanda was attended by maid of honor, Sara Bolsinger, friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Brooke Mosher Newman and Elyse Mosher Winter, sisters of the groom, and Bri Fried-richs, friend of the couple.

Aaron’s best man was Chad Bruns, friend of the couple.

Groomsmen were Mathew New-man, brother in law of the couple; Jared Friedrichs, friend of the cou-ple; and Adam Clauson, twin broth-er of the bride.

The flower girls were Susie Funke and Elsie Flexsenhar, cousins of the

bride, and the ring bearers were Hunter Newman and Chase New-man, nephews of the couple.

Ushers were Justin Porter, friend of the couple, and Ashten Stelken, cousin of the bride. Amanda’s personal attendant was Lindsey McDowell, friend of the couple.

The reception followed at the Dela-ware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester, Iowa, hosted by Al Cook, Dan and Sandi Stelken, and Gary and Janice Duggan, aunts and uncles of the bride.

Aaron and Amanda began their new life together with a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They have returned home to Prophetstown, where Amanda has worked at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa, and now is working at Rock River Lum-ber and Grain in Sterling.

Aaron also works for Rock River Lumber and Grain in Sterling and Tampico.

Aaron and Amanda had a very suc-cessful summer showing their Rock Creek Belgians around the Midwest.

Franklin Grove High School’s Class of 1953 held its 60-year class reunion Aug. 10, 2013, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fielding at their home in Cam-bridge. A cookout consisted of ham, hamburger, brats and hot dogs, five varieties of homemade pies, and several dishes brought by members. Lots of conversation and reminiscing was enjoyed by 17 members.
