Sweet Flower BlockCut 10 squares 6½” x 6½” from cream shadeUsing the templates provided, cut 10 large flowers from assorted prints, 10 small flowers from assorted prints, and 10 flower centers from lemon shade. Add a ¼” seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of appliqué.

Sweet Four-Patch BlockCut 2 strips 3½” x WOF from cream shadeCut 2 strips 3½” x WOF from blue chevron

Setting TrianglesCut 5 squares 10” x 10” from cream shade. Cut each square twice diagonally. You will use 18 of the 20 triangles.

Corner TrianglesCut 2 squares 5½” x 5½” from cream shade. Cut each square once diagonally.

Border 1Cut 5 strips 2½” x WOF from blue chevron

Border 2Cut 6 strips 4½” x WOF from pink main

Border 3Cut 7 strips 2½” x WOF from cream birds

Sweet Strip BlockSew a blue birds, blue main, and blue petals strip together. Press. Cut into five 6½” segments. Sew a pink main, pink dots, and pink birds strip together. Press. Cut into five 6½” segments. Sew a yellow chevron, yellow floral, and yellow dots strip together. Press. Cut into five 6½” segments. Sew a blue main, blue chevron, and blue petals strip together. Press. Cut into five 6½” segments. Sew a multi dots, cream birds, and cream petals strip together. Press. Cut into six 6½” segments. Sew a green floral, multi dots, and cream main strip together. Press. Cut into four 6½” segments.

Sweet Flower BlockUse your favorite method of appliqué. Refer to quilt photo for placement of large flower, small flower and flower center pieces.

Sweet Four-Patch BlockSew a 3½” blue chevron strip to a 3½” cream shade strip. Repeat with the remaining blue chevron strip and cream shade strip. Cut the strips into 3½” segments. Sew the segments together to create 10 Four-Patch Blocks.

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of blocks.

Quilt Center AssemblySee quilt photo for Sweet Strip, Flower, and Four-Patch Block placement. Sew rows together on the diagonal to complete the center of the quilt. Add corner triangles. Before adding borders square up quilt center leaving ¼” seam allowance on all sides.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.

Border 1Side borders should be 51½”. Top and bottom borders should be 47”.

Border 2Side borders should be 55½”. Top and bottom borders should be 55”.

Border 3Side borders should be 63½”.Top and bottom borders should be 59”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the The Sweetest Thing Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
