RULES & REGULATIONS

ENTRIESEntries close May 1, July 1, July 8, and August 5, 2019, respectively. A post entry fee of $25.00 per horse will be applied after the closing date. All entry forms should be filled out completely and legibly with one entry per horse and returned to the horseshow manager with stall payment. No numbers will be given until the entry iscomplete and final payment has been made or an open check has been left withthe horse show secretary. NO STALLS WILL BE RESERVED WITHOUT PAYMENT. TRAINERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RESERVED STALLS.

OFFICE HOURS: The office will be open at least one hour prior to start timeseach day.

TRAILER-INS: Will be assessed a grounds fee of $50.00 per day per horse.

STABLING: Stall Requests MUST be made with Horse Show Management. Stallreservations will not be held without full payment. All stalls are temporary, 10' X10' in size and have doors. No straw bedding will be permitted. ONLY WOOD SHAVINGS.

LIMITED STABLING AVAILABLE - CALL EARLY.

SCRATCHES/NO SHOWS: All scratches must be done in the horse show office.Once the classes have begun NO REFUNDS will be given.

TRAINER SPLITS: Old Seoul Equestrian LLC will allow trainer splits for thepurchase of tack stalls, shavings, etc. to be applied to the clients horse show bill.Trainer splits are due in the horse show office by Noon on Saturday, for weekendshows and Wednesday of Sweet Summertime Before The Derby. Pleaselet your clients know if they should expect splits on their bill. Any splits that areunaccounted for or uncollected by the client will revert to the trainer for payment.

NUMBERS: A number will be assigned to each horse and must be visible on theriders back or saddle pad when in the show ring.

GENERAL RULES:

Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of thecurrent USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.ANY DISCREPANCES WILL BE DECIDED BY THE JUDGE(S) AND HORSE SHOW MANAGEMENT AND WILL BE CONSIDERED FINAL.

• Drinking alcoholic beverages and riding will not be permitted.

COGGINS: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2005 - ALL WISCONSIN EQUINE (HORSES, PONIES, MULES, Etc.) 12 months old and older participating in an advertised equine event ("Advertised equine event" means a show, rodeo, exhibition, trail ride or horse fair, excluding sales or auctions, that is posted or media promoted) must be accompanied by a negative test for equine infectious anemia/E.I.A. (Coggins/CELISA) conducted within the previous 12 months. A health certificate is NOT required for WISCONSIN EQUINES.

USEF/USHJA VACCINE REPORT: Beginning December 1, 2015, all horses en-tering the grounds of a Federation- licensed competition must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhino-pneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables.

JUMP ORDER: When it is determined that a class is being delayed becausehorses are not ready to perform, a warning will be given and the exhibitor willhave one minute in which to appear at the in-gate or be eliminated. There willbe no delays of flat classes for trainer conflicts. All over fences classes can beridden back to back.

SCHOOLING AT SEOUL CREEK FARM (Please be courteous of our neighbors):Thursday - Schooling allowed 1:00 PM until sunset. Friday - Schooling allowed 6:30 - 8:00 AM and at the conclusion of the show until sunset. Saturday - Schooling allowed 6:30 - 7:00 AM and at the conclusion of the show until sunset. Sunday - Schooling allowed 6:30 - 7:30 AM and there will be no schooling at the conclusion of the horse show.

SCHOOLING AT WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR PARK:Tuesday -Schooling will be allowed from 1:00 PM until sunset. Wednesday - Schooling will be allowed until 1 hour prior to start of each ring. Thursday - Schooling will be allowed until 1 hour prior to start of each ring.

USEF RULES AND REGULATIONS will apply to both Hunters and Jumpersduring all schooling on the Horse Show Grounds.

PETS: We are animal lovers but would prefer pets be left at home. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Unattended off leash pets will be taken to Washington County Humane Society.

PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR: ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR ASTM APPROVEDHEADGEAR WITH THE HARNESS SECURED AT ALL TIMES WHILE MOUNT-ED! NO EXCEPTIONS! Any riders failing to comply will be asked to dismount. Failure to comply will result in the entry being disqualified with NO REFUND.

MOTORIZED VEHICLES: Only those with a valid driver's license will be allowed to drive motorized vehicles on the horse show grounds. Anyone in violation will be asked to leave.

USHJA OUTREACH AWARDS & CLASSES

Competitors must be either juniors or adult amateurs.

The USHJA Outreach Program provides members at any level of membership with an opportunity to earn national recognition in classes at various types of competition. The program is designed to celebrate riders as they advance through the competitive experience.

Competitors with a USHJA membership (Outreach level or higher) will be eligi-ble to earn year-end awards in their section(s). Year-end awards for each section will be awarded 1st through 6th place by USHJA zone.

In addition to year-end awards, USHJA members (Outreach level or higher) can earn Certificates of Merit throughout the year. Once a rider earns at least 30 points during the competition year, that competitor will receive a Bronze Level Certificate of Merit, at 50 points a Silver Level Certificate of Merit, and at 75 points a Gold Level Certificate of Merit. Bronze Level Certificates will be mailed during the competition year, and all Silver and Gold certificates will be awarded at the end of the competition year. Certificates are noted in the current standings.Outreach competitions may be hosted by any organization meeting the mini-mum criteria, whether USEF-rated or local, unrecognized competitions.

2018 USHJA OUTREACH

Membership Requirements

A. Outreach Membership level $35.

B. Riders competing in Outreach Hunter and Jumper classes do not have to be USHJA members. To be eligible for USHJA Outreach points and year end awards, or to enter an Outreach medal class, riders must be a USHJA member (Outreach level or higher).

C. For Show Official membership requirements, refer to Category 1 and Category 2 specific requirements.

D. Horses are not required to be registered with USHJA to compete in Outreach classes.

2018 USHJA OUTREACH SECTIONS

Hunter Sections

1. All courses must have at least seven jumps and no combinations are allowed. Oxers are discouraged for any class with fences below 2’6”. At one day USHJA Outreach Shows, only the first two numbered over fences classes (hunters), re-gardless of how many classes are held, and one hunter under saddle class in each hunter section will count for USHJA Outreach points. At multiple day USHJA Outreach Shows, only the first three numbered over fences classes, regardless of how many classes are held, and one under saddle class in each hunter section will count for USHJA Outreach points.

a. USHJA Outreach Hunters 18” or Crossrail - Riders may not compete in any class where the fences exceed 2’0” at the same show.

b. USHJA Outreach Hunters 2’0”- Riders may not compete in any class where the fences exceed 2’3” at the same show.

2018 USHJA OUTREACH POINTS

Points

A. At least three entries must complete the course or class for points to count.

B. Points will accrue through sixth place for any class that has six or more entries. In classes with six or more entries, full points will accrue as follows: 12-8-5-3-2-1

C. For classes with three to five entries, points will be scaled as follows: Five entries: 8-5-3-2-1 Four entries: 5-3-2-1 Three entries: 4-2-1

D. Points are earned only in a member’s home zone. If a member changes zones, because of school, work, or otherwise, he must request permission change his home zone to the USHJA in writing in order for his points to follow him. LEXI'S CLASS – Free to first-time competitors at participating shows held in Wisconsin. Competitors are eligible for one season. Formal attire is not necessary, however all riders must have boots with a suitable heel and an approved helmet. Riders must use a borrowed horse that is entered at the horse show. Riders must complete an entry form and are not eligble to compete in other classes at the show. Ribbons 1st – 6th.
