    Common Rules

    This Engine is for the creation of either an Sith Lord or Jedi Master. This is to be a relatively

    simple engine. Both types of individual have several sections of traits to choose from. Sith Lord

    gets access to darkside abilities, servants, ships, and so on. They are an Sith after all. How much,

    of what etc all depends on the traits a player chooses when selecting their Sith.

    The Jedi Master gets access to lightside abilites, allies and ships etc. They are the direct

    counterparts to the Sith and the two are incompatible, though most fear and rightly so that Sith

    once were numbered kin by the Jedi. As with the Sith what they get etc all depends on the Traits.

    The only thing the two types share is the basic characteristics of the Sith/Jedi. They are as

    follows.

    Physical Skills: (Opposite: Force Power) Force Power: (Opposite: Physical Skills) Command: (Opposite: Wealth) Wealth: (Opposite: Command) Influence: (Opposite: Dedication) Dedication: (Opposite: Influence)

    These characteristics determine the number of Traits available to each and in what categories.

    These Characteristics are on a scale of one to ten, with one being pathetic and ten being HOLY

    SHIT DO YOU SEE THAT GUYS STATS?

    A player gets 24 points to spend on each of those stats. Every stat already starts with one point.

    (All together you can get 5s across the board. Or higher in some weaker in others.

    However only 2 Stats may be higher than 8. (Players choice which two stats. IF they choose to

    have any stats that high. However each stat has its opposite (as listed above.) If you have a stat

    above 8 its opposite cannot be above 2!

    For every 1 point in a particular characteristic the player can choose 1 trait from the relevant

    traits as described in the characteristics descriptions.

    Once these points have been distributed the similarity between the Jedi Master and the SithLord ends. Totally. Now each type of individual has to select from their own section of the rules!

    A basic description in provided below for ideas, suggestions and, well, for the lulz.

    BUT NOW AN EXPLANATION OF THE CHARACTERISTICS.

    Physical Skills: This is the physical capabilities of your Sith or Jedi, low physical represents a

    weaker Jedi or Sith closer to a normal person for speed, reaction times and ability, whereas one

    with a high Physical skills has invested more of their force power into these abilities. Though

    their force based skills suffer for it.=================

    Opposite: Force Powers; a Player with high has invested their force abilities to improve

    themselves and their skills over more direct force power.

    =================

    Min 1: Lightsabre Skills; A player is required to choose a minimum of one Lightsabre

    proficiency to go with their character.

    Force Powers: The force powers represent the seemingly unnatural abilities of the Jedi or Sith

    to do things no mortal can. From moving things with their minds to hurling lightning. The Jediand Sith even share a small skillset called Basic Force Skills which includes things like the

    force telekinesis and mind trick for example.

    =================

    Opposite: Physical Skills; a Player with high force powers has concentrated on the development

    of their force abilities over the physical skills of others.

    =================

    Min 1: Basic Force Skills; A player is required to choose the Basic Force Skills trait.

    Command: Command is the aura of Authority, Divine Right, Leadership, Mastery of Man (or

    alien). It is literally how charismatic or powerful an individuals spirit is that inspires others tofollow them even to death. The Jedi Master and Sith Lord both get access to their respective

    Command traits.

    =================

    Opposite: Wealth; A player with high Command is so charismatic he doesnt even NEED wealth

    to bring his soldiers to the table ready and rearing to go. In fact they are more loyal as their

    leader is more down-to-earth (or more likely to personally crack the whip as slave-masters

    are expensive in this day and age.)

    Wealth: The wealth of a Jedi order or Sith Lords domain. This ranges from gold to slaves,starships to moon bases. It is literally the material resources said individual has at their

    disposal. The Jedi and Sith get access to their respective Wealth Traits.

    =================

    Opposite: Command; A player with high Wealth is so wealthy his resources seem near limitless,

    but at the same time he is so greedy or paranoid that he neither trusts in others nor do they

    trust in him. As such his Charisma and Command capacity is vastly reduced. (Even Good get

    greedy.)

    =================

    Min 1: Poor Ship; All players are required to choose at least the Poor Ship trait.

    Influence: The Influence of the Jedi or Sith means they have eyes and ears everywhere. Small

    cults or covens, followers that while not willing to follow them into battle can tell them where

    the enemy will be, or open a city gate at an opportune time. The Jedi and Sith get access to the

    Influence traits specific to them.

    =================

    Opposite: Dedication; An Sith or Jedi with significant influence is unlikely to be willing to giveup on their power and gains just because those are their beliefs and morals. They are perfectly

    happy to concede on them to pull their own necks from beneath the chopping block.

    Dedication: The level of dedication an Sith Lord or Jedi Master has towards their goals. This can

    be seen in how fervently one prosecutes their campaigns and how unwilling they are to retreat.

    But true dedication can have its own quite considerable rewards for the clever. Dedication of

    the Jedi and Sith is often simply assumed to be destiny by the individual in question. The Jedi get

    access to the LightDestiny Traits for Dedication The Sith get access to the Dark Destiny

    Traits for Dedication.

    =================

    Opposite: Influence; One who believes that Destiny and Fate are on their side often neglects the

    little men in their pursuit of their so-called Destiny. Thus their influence suffers and they have to

    work with what theyve got.
