DESCRIPTION

Summer Camp in the Alpine settings of Switzerland. This summer your children can get the feel of the snow clad mountains in Switzerland. Students of age group from 6 to 18 years (Std. 2nd to 12th) will spend their summer vacation at Switzerland. Dates and Destination

Dates

Summer Program—First week of June 2013

up to two weeks (We also have customized

program in July and August)

Winter Program—Available between December to

March up to two weeks.

Destination

Saanen and Schönried takes 1 hr 45 min. by

road from Geneva.

International airport will be either GENEVA or

ZURICH in Switzerland

Eligibility Criteria Age -6 - 18 years.(You should be mature enough to live alone.)

Must be studying in a recognized school in India.

Parent and School authority’s written approval is must.

Medical fitness certificate.

Your VISA should not have been rejected by embassy in

last 5 years for any European country.

Have studied English language for a minimum of 2 years OR

able to communicate in English at a basic conversational level.

Enrollment is on first-cum first-serve basis.

School/Local Coordinator is appointed for 30 participants (minimum) to each

session.

Eligibility of your passport should be valid at least 3 months beyond the date of

return with available pages for VISA sticker and of “Standard quality” (not

damaged, torn, faded etc.).

Residential accommodation (triple/four occupancy per room) on campus site.

Food (Continental/Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

24 hours supervision by Vishvet Foundation staff.

Full day excursions each weekend.

One mid-week off site excursion per week like campfire.

Daily activities on campus including adventurous sports, swimming, language classes, one GreenVishwa (Environment Volunteer Service) activity etc.

Airport transfers to/from Swiss International Airport on arrival and departure days.

Program orientation provided by a Vishvet Foundation local coordinator.

Full VISA support by Vishvet Foundation.

Assessment test of individual by group instructor.

International School/University visit program 1 day per week.

Weekday Excursions & Weekend Program

Regular excursions are planned throughout the

camp including all-day mountain

hikes,cultural trips to places like

Montreux, Interlaken or Bern.

Saturdays students have free

time to play outdoors.

Sundays are all-day excursions organized to give

the children opportunity to see different parts

of Switzerland

Facilities

The camp shares two separate facilities:

Saanen – For younger Campers

Schönried – For older Campers

Within few minutes from both

campuses are the Saanen & Gstaad

tennis courts, the local gymnasium,

outdoor and indoor swimming pools,

indoor rock climbing plus at least 12

major mountain cable cars and chairlifts.

Special Events Day

Each camp session ends with a ‘Special Events Day’ in

which the children participate in various swimming

events, sports and games.

Followed by this is a special barbecue, and

the campers are presented with awards for

their achievements in swimming,

language, camping and hiking etc.

Last date of Application:

18 weeks before respective Camp starts.
