Typical Swiss design qualities, such as functionality, respect of tradition, superior engineering and hands-on craftsmanship are clearly re�ected in the countless sought after Swiss products sold around the World. www.artpark.or.jp

With a focus on Le Corbusier’s three apprentices, Kunio Maekawa, Junzo Sakakura, Takamasa Yoshizaka, this exhibition examines the in�uence of the grand master in Japan’s modern architecture. Paul Klee, one of the most beloved Swiss-born artists in Japan, loved secrets. Luckily, Klee also scattered clues throughout his works to help us solve the mystery and this exhibition will trace the clues, fragmentary signs and half- hidden images he playfully inserted in his paintings. www.artm.pref.hyogo.jp

The Montreux Jazz Festival Japan will be held for the �rst time in Tokyo.It will feature well-known European and Japanese artists performing at di�erent venues in the fashionable Shibuya neighborhood. Visuals by Katsuhiro Otomo.www.montreuxjazz.jp

Swing Kids is a successful children’s big band established in 2002 in Romans- horn by Dai Kimoto, a Japanese band leader. As «the Ambassador of the Swing Music» they have travelled around the world. A documentary �lm on the band «Swing it easy» has been released this year. This is their 6th tour of Japan. swingkids.ch

Regarded as one of the most important �gures in the contemporary Jewelry world, Otto Künzli’s work is based on a conceptual approach, which has been widely embraced by people beyond the jewelry �eld. Ronin is a «zen-funk» quartet founded by Nik Baertsch in 2001. Despite the variety of the band’s in�uences, Ronin’s music possesses a unique individu-ality. It incorporates elements, such as funk, new classical music and sounds from Japanese ritual music. www.nikbaertsch.com

Established in 1999 in Lausanne, this group of friends passionately revives the beginnings of jazz music in the 1920s and beyond. www.swissyerba.com

The trio composed of the jazz pianist Colin Vallon, Patrice Moret on doublebass and Samuel Rohrer on drums released their second recording in 2014 on the prestigious international label ECM Records. This will be their �rst tour of Japanwww.colinvallon.com

Christian Delafontaine, solo �utist at the Yverdon Orchestra, and Christian Chamorel, a prize winning pianist, are both from Yverdon-les-bains in the can-ton of Vaud. This annual charity concert is organized by the non-pro�t organization MOCT to commemorate the humanitarian achievements of Dr. Marcel Junod, the ICRC-delegate who organized and provided medical support for the city of Hiroshima after the atomic bombing. BIG-GAME is a product and interior design studio created in 2004 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The works realized by the studio in Japan will be displayed at the Garden Gallery of the Daikanyama T-Site during Tokyo Designer’s Week.www.big-game.ch

Following the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami disaster in 2011 the Lucerne Festival Ark Nova, which is a fully movable concert hall, was launched with the objective to encourage the a�ected people’s hearts with music and creating bonds with the disaster area. www.kajimotomusic.com

For over a quarter of a century, the Swiss saxophonist Christoph Gallio is the driving force of the improvisation unit DAY&TAXI. The serene and sublime handling of their instruments characterizes their unique sound. www.gallio.ch

Trio Rafale, an outright talented young trio and winner of the 8th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2014, tours Japan for 12 concerts performing works by classical composers and a piece by Sándor Veress, a Swiss contemporary composer. www.triorafale.com

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the Karo Alphorn Club, based in Fukushi-ma, holds an Alphorn Festival featuring Alphorn Clubs from Kanto and hand-made Alphorns made of debris from the disaster. チューリヒで結成されたＥＣＭニュー・ジェネレーションのフロントランナーのRoninは「禅ファンク」カルテットとして2001年にニック・ベルチュにより結成。個性的でユニークな音楽を演奏する彼らの「リチュアル・グル―ヴ・ミュージック」は作曲と即興がせめぎあい、ファンクや日本の禅からの影響を受ける。www.nikbaertsch.com

2013年にスイスエンジニア・建築家協会（SIA）と日本デザイン振興会（JDP）の間で取り交わされ た覚書をもとに企画されたデザインプロモーション協力事業の一つ。スイスと日本からそれぞれ選ば れた5組のデザイナーが両国を訪問、創作活動を行うというプロジェクト。スイスではWOGG（ウォグ） で、日本では石巻工房にて共同でワークショップが開催された。その成果がTOKYO DESIGN WEEK 開催中の本作品展で紹介される。www.jida.or.jp

2011年の東日本大震災の復興を支援し、被災地に音楽を通して希望を与えることを目的に誕生した可動式音楽ホールの「アーク・ノヴァ」。スイスのルツェルン・フェスティバルの働きかけで実現したプロジェクトが今回、福島で実現する。ルツェルン祝祭管弦楽団のソリストをはじめ国内外の様々なアーティストがホールで演奏する。www.kajimotomusic.com

DAY&TAXIはスイスのサキソフォン奏者のクリストフ・ガリオが中心となり音楽活動を行うインプロユニット。活動歴は25年以上を誇るベテラン。楽器の操り方を知り尽くした彼ら独自のサウンドのファンは多い。カナダ、米国、ロシア、日本、ヨーロッパなどでライブを行う。www.gallio.ch
