Alice Braukman’s Abstract Work-shop Feb. 6-9, 2012 Alice Braukman February 6 - 9, 2012 (4day) Artists’ Showplace $300* $325** Mary Alice Braukman’s workshops are always changing with her continual study of "what if's" when using new mediums. As a watermedia artist, her life experiences become filtered in her eye, mind, and heart. They are then transformed into her paint-ings. Her paintings are of a myriad of tech-niques – She is not afraid of color or texture. she wants the viewer to crawl into her work and walk through each step of motion or intensity or serenity. This class explores layering of experi-mental mediums, photo transfers, and col-lage in depth, striving for results that go beyond obvious techniques and leave people wondering just how you created such a gem. There are daily critiques, both class and

individual. Mary Alice provides many of the new materials you'll get to experi-ment with in this workshop.

Variety in subject and lighting high-light Donna Witty’s March, 2012 workshop Donna Witty March 12 - 15, 2012 (4day) Artists’ Showplace $300* $325* In this workshop Donna Witty will conduct demonstrations on color theory, value, planning, masking, initial washes, secondary washes and finishing. Expect to roll up your sleeves and get some

painting done. Donna paints in a realistic style. She likes dealing with subjects such as light and shadow, people, places, things, and above all - color. She paints every-thing from fruit to elaborate land-scapes to the city streets of Venice and Italy.
