Carl (Charlie) Wiltenburg Mr, J. Carl (Charlie) Wiltenburg, age 69, passed away Saturday, September 25, at Butterworth Hospital after an illness of one month. He was born June 16, 1902 in Chester Township, the son of John C. and Nettie McWilliams Wiltenburg, Mr, Wiltenburg resided In Sparta all his life. He was employed by Muskegon piston Ring In the shipping department until his retirement In 1969. He was a member of Trinltv Lutheran Church. He was the pres- ident of Local 8 Retirees Council. Mr. Wiltenburg was married to Mildred Peters June 2, 1926, and is survived by her. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Janice) Johnson of Kent City; two grandsons, Steve and Jeff Johnson; one brother, Cornells of Conklin; one sister, Mrs. Albert (Bernice) Ritz, Conklin; and one brother-in-law, Marvin Peters of Conklin with whom he resided. Funeral services were held Tuesday at tho Hessel- Cheslek Funeral Home with Rev. E. A. Hossler presid- ing. Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Emily Doyle dies at 74 Funeral services were held for Emily Marie Doyle of Camp Lake on Thursday, September 30, at the Holy Family Church with Rt, Rev, Msgr, Martin officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Mrs. Doyle died at the McClure Nursing Home at the age of 74 on September 27 after a lingering Illness. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Sparta, and Holy Family Altar Society. Mrs, Doyle was the daughter of Franklin and Bertha Vandercook Keyser, She was born January 31, 1897 In Manton, Michigan and came here from Grand Rapids In 1947, She was married to Peter A. Doyle on July 16, 1937 In Grayling, Michigan. One brother, Grandvllle D. Martin, of Dearborn Heights, survives. Ener Larson passes at age 75 Mr. Ener Larson, 75, of 187 Martindale, Sparta passed away Sunday, September 26 at tho Kent Community Hos- pital after a lingering illness. He was born April 28, 1896 in Grand Rapids, living In Sparta all of his life. His parents were Charles and Hilda Johnson Larson. Mr. Larson was a self-employed painter and decorator, was a member of the Sparta American Legion Post #107, Burnett Lekstrum. He leaves his wife, Ellen, whom he married April 21, 1920; two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Mary Jane) Lang- ford of Traverse City, Mrs. Clarence (Margaret) Kutz- li of Sparta; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl H, of Sparta and Paul E. of Grand Rapids, There are several nieces and nephews. -Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Hessel- Cheslek Funeral Home, and Rev, Robert J. M r , Wil tenburg r e s ided In Spar ta all h is l i f e . He was employed by Muskegon p i s t o n Ring In the shipping d e p a r t m e n t until h is r e t i r e m e n t In 1969. He was a m e m b e r of Tr in l tv Lutheran C h u r c h . He was the p r e s -ident of Local 8 R e t i r e e s Counci l .
