How  a  teacher  found  a  team  to  change  to  the  status  quo

Even  before  this  test,    I  knew  he  needed  help...  

But  how  can  I  make  sure  he  gets  it?  

The  way  it's  always  been    isn't  the  way  it  has  to  be.  

There  has  to  be  a  better  way.    

But  how?  

Time  to  team  up!  

A  teacher  with  an  idea...    

...a  little  user-­‐focused  design  thinking...  

...and  a  software  company  with  the  tools...  

...teamed  up  to  smash  the  status  quo  of  the    paper-­‐based  tutoring,  intervention  and  

enrichment  system  most  schools  use  now...  

…and  turned  a  teacher's  idea  into  reality!  

Paper  chasing  is  so  2014!  

•  Manages  the  flow  of  students  in  and  out  of  tutoring,  intervention,  or  enrichment  sessions  in  any  school  schedule  

•  Increases  accountability  for  attendance  through  automatically  created  attendance  rosters  when  students  are  assigned  to  session  

•  Produces  reports  on  a  variety  of  demographics,  including  but  not  limited  to  name,  ethnicity,  subject,  grade  level,  or  assigning  teacher    

•  Creates  detailed  reports  that  can  be  used  by  everything  from  teachers  in  parent/teacher  conferences,  to  administrators  and  districts  who  need  to  report  under  federal  guidelines  

•  And  more!  

 

All  because  of  one  crazy  idea  that  a  teacher  wanted  to  help  other  teachers,  and  one  team  that  came  together  to  do  just  that!
