Sydney

Sydney   is  a  city  on   the  east  coast  of  Australia.   It   is   the  capital  city  of  New  South  Wales.  

In  Sydney,  there  are  many  famous  buildings:  the  Sydney  Opera   House,   the   Queen   Victoria   building   and   the  Sydney  Harbour  Bridge.

In  Sydney   there   is  a   large  harbour   and   there  are  many  beaches.  The  most  famous  of  these  being  Bondi  Beach.

There   are  many   stadiums   in   Sydney.   The  most   famous  one  is  the  ANZ  Stadium.  Another  stadium  is  the  Sydney  Cricket  Ground.

There  are  lots  of  things  to  do  in  Sydney.  There  is  a  park  for  animals   on   the   northern   side   of   the   harbour.   Its   name   is  Taronga  Zoo.

There  are  many  shops  and  shopping  centres.  There  are  two  famous  streets  for  shopping:  William  and  Oxford  Street.

There   are   15   parks.   The   Royal   National   Park   is   the  second  oldest  national  park  in  the  world.  

There   are  many  museums.   The  most   important   one   is   the  Australian  Museum.   It’s   the  oldest  natural  history  museum  in  Australia.      

Besides,   there   are   cinemas   and   theatres.   There   are   three  important   performance   venues   in   the   city:   the   Sydney  Opera  House,  the  Town  Hall  and  the  City  Recital  Hall.

There  are  train  stations  and  bus  stations.  Besides,  there  is  a  ferry  service.  There  is  also  an  airport  in  Sydney.

Around  Sydney   there  are  many   lakes,   including  great  places  to  enjoy  a  picnic  or  BBQ,  swim  or  camp.  

If  you  do  not  mind  travelling  a  little  bit,  just  50  km  away  from  Sydney,  there  is  a  magical  place  any  time  of  the  year:  The  Blue  Mountains!  It’s  an  experience  you  will  never  forget.
