1. Safe and Clean learning environment: The area where our Chatswood campus is located
is proud of its safe & relaxed learning environment with a very convenient public transportation
that can be connected to all areas in Sydney. All amenities are here around the college such as
Shopping Centre, Shops, Movie theaters, Library and restaurants. Our City campus is located
just 3 minutes from Town Hall station and close to everything in Sydney City.
2. 20 hours face-to-face teaching: SIEC is providing 20 hours face-to-face teaching, Monday
to Friday in our morning programs. Apart from this, we are providing 5 hours elective lesson that
is run between 14:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday.
3. Regular Student Survey and Test: SIEC has a regular student class & teacher survey to
make sure that every student is happy and enjoys their stay at the college. If there is anything we
can improve and/or change, we take immediate action. Also, we have a monthly test to see all
students’ course progress so we can encourage any students who are ready to move up to next
level.
4. Various Activities: Sydney is a vibrant city with many great attractions on offer. We organize an exciting social
program with many opportunities for students to make friends with people from all over the world.
We have regular class excursions. Our students can also attend special weekend trips and
activities.
① Weekly Student Assembly: SIEC has a range of weekly activities conducted every Thursday
between 12:30pm and 01:00pm for around 30 minutes. In this time, teachers give certificates to
graduating students and encourage them to make an English speech in front of all students at
SIEC so that everybody can see how much they have improved their skills at SIEC.
Also, each class prepares a very special activity such as a Play, Quiz Contest, Singing, Dancing
and much more!! Teachers & staff at SIEC give useful information about weekend activities for
students to attend & enjoy.
This information session includes the weather, festivals, any interesting event being held in
Sydney with transportation information.
②Regular Mini, Class, College Excursions: Each class has a regular mini excursions every
Friday. We go to the pub, parks, BBQ, beaches, and many other historical and famous places
in Sydney. Students learn a lot of things about Australia’s history, culture and much more while
participating in these activities.
5. Afternoon Elective (Special Skills) Classes: In the morning session (08:45 – 13:00), we have
many grammar lessons together with reading, writing and listening practices following the text
book. However, in the afternoon, after lunch time (14:00 – 15:00) we have a lot of intensive
elective classes such as intensive conversation, grammar, pronunciation and hospitality – how to
write a CV or cover letter to give our students more practice to improve English skills as that is
one of the main reasons for all students coming to Australia.
6. Strict Student Management System: While we are proud of a “Family like” atmosphere at the
college, we have a strict student management system. Students must be on time for lessons and
will be given a warning letter if late. Fines are applied if students speak a mother language during
class time.
7. Students Support System: SIEC provides friendly and effective support for international
students. We offer advice and help with: Airport pick-up, Home Stay with selected Australian
families, Arrange share accommodation and Counseling on academic issues which is provided
