42 years strong in 2018 Why do we do what we do? Because at the heart of the matter, we care about children, their parents, and older adults. We care about keeping children safe and supervised when their parents cannot be with them, and we care about

giving their parents peace of mind. We care about helping older adults be as healthy as they can be as they age. We believe that children and adults deserve our respect and compassion as we endeavor to provide meaningful opportunities to support them as they move forward with their lives.

The children we serve are little learners that soak up new things like a sponge. So we work to create lesson plans and STEM projects to help them learn and grow while they are in our care. The seniors we serve are lifelong learners and continue to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. We provide them with physical fitness classes, creative arts, brain fitness, and a place to establish connections and friendships.

We enjoy sharing our love of photography and we enjoy seeing other people’s pictures too. We teach basic photography at the Center and try to help others improve. Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich our lives are. Capturing the grandchildren opening presents, the beautiful scene on vacation, or the deer in the backyard gives us a wonderful moment frozen in time. ~Carroll and Mary Ann Cannon,

Participants and Volunteers

At 55 years old, I came to the Center looking for information to give to my mother. A year later I joined the Senior Center and 6 years later, I am still involved. There have been several firsts at the Center. My first root beer float, my first trip to the Butterfly house and the first time I have been taken to the entrance of a Mud Hens game. I love this place! ~Marilyn Snyder, Participant and Volunteer

Many rely on weekly Blood Pressure checks at the Center
