However, it’s not only a senior population that is fueling this demand. there are working parents needing help with childcare, individuals recuperating from illness or injury, Caregivers needing respite, and others. Since 2002, SyNerGy HomeCare has been changing lives with personalized and comprehensive home care plans that allow people to maintain their quality of life and independence. We start with a Careteam that includes an administrator, representative, manager and Caregiver—available to each Client at all hours. We screen our Caregivers carefully, and then we make sure we have the right fit for each Client’s needs. Dramatic shifts in our society have created a pressing demand for home care. Prior to the 1970s, most families had only one wage earner. that meant someone was usually available to assist elderly parents or care for children. things look different today, as the majority of families in the u.S. have two wage earners who must rely on outside help for those at home. Furthermore, careers keep many family members far away, making it difficult for them to care for loved ones from a distance.

the graceful aging of america is the biggest trend affecting home care in coming years. there are more people approaching 65 than ever, and they’re likely to live longer than their ancestors. The first wave of baby boomers turns 65 in 2011. By 2030, one out of every five Americans will be over the age of 65, representing more than 70 million people. at some point, 85% of these people will require some assistance at home. as the senior population grows, Medicare is expected to reduce the funding available to patients in assisted living facilities. this will drive even more demand for home care services.

By 2030, seniors in the U.S. will represent 20 percent of the population, or 72 million people.

the heart and soul of SyNerGy HomeCare are nested in one man’s vision. Peter tourian dreamed of owning his own business from an early age. after a career in law enforcement, he set out to pursue that dream. His desire to help others motivated him to start SYNERGY Staffing, a healthcare-staffing agency, in 1999. He quickly realized the increasing need for a business model that could better address all the requests for home care. inspired to help an aging population live independently, he founded SyNerGy HomeCare in 2002. two years later, tourian began offering franchise opportunities to like-minded entrepreneurs committed to providing high-quality home care.

tourian continues to shape the industry as a founding board member of the Private Duty Home Care association and chairman of the legislation and advocacy sub-committee, which oversees licensing homecare agencies throughout the country.

Our training consists of three phases and starts as soon as a franchisee signs on with us.

During pre-training, we assign a training coach who’s there to mentor each new owner, guiding them through a business startup checklist. We also provide a pre-class workbook that’s designed to help each franchisee research their own market prior to attending training at our headquarters.

Armed with research specific to their market, our franchisees attend a one week training session at our corporate headquarters. that’s where we cover everything from operations and employee recruiting to sales and marketing. Attendees leave fully prepared and confident, with a rollout plan specific to their territory.

We follow with on-site training at each franchise owner’s business, facilitated by one of our industry experts.

Our support doesn’t end there. We’re there to help for the long-term, with on-site visits, marketing seminars and conference calls, market-leading recruiting services and annual franchise meetings. We welcome our franchisees to our extended family and invite them to participate in our frequent community service events.

Our franchise owners get up and running quickly with our integrated suite of start-up tools, including SyNerGy HomeCare custom-designed Web-based scheduling software, SMart™ marketing management software and access to a private intranet with a variety of helpful, industry resources. Our software automates everything from Caregiver assignments and care plans to sales leads and payroll. Because it’s Web-based, franchisees and staff can access assignments, schedules and other vital information from anywhere - at any time. Clients can even access information specific to their loved one’s care plan.
