Synopsis of Inauguration Speech Professor Munish Thakur, Chairperson - Strategic Management Area at XLRI, formally announced the commencement of "INSIGHT 2015" with a thought provoking speech on the necessity of addressing the issue of the under-skilled work force of India. Commending CRUX for selecting an essential topic as the theme, he went on to lay out the challenges that lay before the nation both in terms of gender imbalance in employment as well as the skewed proportion of unemployable skills that the current education system imparts. He predicted that India would need to severely refocus on providing employable and marketable skills in order to keep its position as the top destination for companies seeking talented employees. Professor Thakur asserted that XLRI - Xavier School of Management has been working assiduously towards this goal through internships and other industry linkage activities, and lauded the efforts of other educational institutions aiming to follow suit. He warmly welcomed the speakers and panelists for this year's conference, and stated that each one of them has a great deal to offer to the attendees in terms of the unique perspectives they have cultivated over their years in the industry. He thanked the sponsors for their dedication to addressing this important issue and urged the participants in the various events to give their best, before declaring the conference open.
