Syntex Laboratories

Working closely with the architects, SWA provided

site planning and full landscape architectural services

for this 40-acre research campus. Site work included

grading, walkways, parking areas; the design of out-

door courtyards with the use of steps to structure the

space and provide informal seating; a pond enclosed

by willow trees and cobblestone paving to provides a

quiet retreat; and a parcourse around the perimeter of

the campus. A Henry Moore sculpture is sited in a quiet

interior courtyard and additional works of art by major

artists are distributed throughout the campus.
