Value Recognition ReportA Trucking Company with 24 Trucks

Account History: The US based company runs aggregate haul trucks, averaging 10,000 miles per oilchange. In order to reduce operating expenses, an initiative to extend engine oil drain intervals wasestablished. The company examined their Shell Rotella Oil, an engine oil from DA lubricantsand Certified Labs engine oil. Samples were periodically pulled and sent to Staveley Services foranalysis.

Reduced Lubricant Consumption – Increased Change Intervals

Staveley Service oil analysis lab was used to determinethe appropriate change intervals. SpectrographicAnalysis, physical properties and contamination testswere performed on the oil samples. The Certified LabsSTRATA XTREME 15W40 engine oil providesexceptional wear protection, kept within the appropriateviscosity range and was able to continue to neutralizeacid well into the 38,000 mile range. It was safelydetermined that STRATA XTREME could safely be usedto extend drain intervals twice as long as the DALubricant oil and four times longer than the Shell Rotellaoil bought from a distributor.

CERTOP SN contains a total additive packagethat sets it apart from other gear oils

IDEAL FOR USE IN: Power Dividers, Gear Trains, Bronze Gears (up to 200°F) and GearBoxes including enclosed gears of spur type, hypoid, spiral bevel, worm, herringbone, helical, planetary and unusual combinations of gear types, Differentials, Limited-Slip Differentials,Simple Manual Transmissions, Axles. Certop SN has been fully tested and field proven, demonstrating outstanding wear protection and oxidation resistance throughout a 500,000-mile service life in over-the-road trucks.

DO NOT USE FOR:Gear boxes that only allow the use of GL-1 gear oil / motor oil (use STRATA Motor Oils) orany other equipment for which the manufacturer does not recommend this type of gearlubricant. Never mix with asphaltic-type or “SCL”-type lubricants.

Synthetic grade base oil100% PAO synthetic oil base that resists breakdown to provide longer oil life.

Provides superior lubrication at a wider temperature range.

Anti-Wear AgentsForms a lubricant film on metal surfaces in the presence of heavy loads and high

temperatures. Prevents cold welding.

Friction Reducers Plates out on metal surfaces to prevent friction and wear under heavy loads.

Rust and Corrosion InhibitorsBlocks out corrosive elements such as acids, water, condensate and steam by

forming a protective barrier on equipment surfaces to prevent chemical wear.

Extreme Pressure (EP) AgentsHeat seeking additive which increases the ability of the lubricant to prevent the

extreme wear that can occur under loads.

Oxidation InhibitorsExtends service life of the lubricant by retarding the oxidation or breakdown

process.

Shock Load ReducersCushions impact to minimize the stress, vibration and chatter that can occur under

heavy loads and during start-stop operations.
