Syracuse University is founded officially chartered in

1870 as a private, coeducational institution offering

programs in the physical sciences and modern languages.

Located in Central New York, Syracuse University has

been one of the most famous institution for college

students in both the States and foreign countries.

The SI Newhouse School of Public Communications is

one of the top ranked in the country and has produced

alumni in many fields of broadcasting. Also, the Maxwell

School of Citizenship and Public Affairs combines social

sciences with public administration and international

relations. It is ranked as the top graduate school for public

affairs in the US.

Well known alumni of Syracuse University includes Joe

Biden, the Vice President of United States, Carmelo

Anthony , NBA player of New York Knicks. And even our

Legco member Gary Chan Hak-kan is one of them which

have once studied in Maxwell School.

Besides, Syracuse University is also well known of its

athletic teams. It’s basketball, ice hockey and lacrosse

team always ranked top of the leagues every year and

have been one of the icons of the orange.
