Topic – Mobility and Internet of Things
Telematics
Offer users a new experience with their devices connected to control units in vehicles or homes. Provide a
new point of contact for marketing communication with the Customer. Enable new always-on services.
Allow the connection and remote transfer of information between electronic devices and application
platforms. Implement archive data safety and persistence, until they can be processed for business users.
Business challenge
A large insurance company has
launched an array of intelligent policies,
including in the theft and fire sector. As a
market leader, the firm implemented an
innovative user experience model,
connected to home automation and the
security sector in particular. Through a
black box installed in the home and
connected to a Mobile App, users can
set the alarm and receive notifications
remotely.
Sysdata's contribution
Sysdata offered its know-how for the
client-facing telecommunications
platform, integrating the requested
services via MQTT protocols. On the
level of design analysis and
development, the project was
approached with extremely high levels of
attention, rolling out all features of the
black box in the form of effective “calls to
action” and offering great added value in
making the home’s arming and
disarming system simple and intuitive.
9
Topic – Mobility and Internet of Things
Remote Assistance
Offer the user more innovative and effective after-sales service levels. Enable new revenue streams with
value-added services.
Makes it possible to connect to remote equipment, monitor the equipment's operation and, where
necessary, carry out maintenance work. Offer a new communication touch point between customer and
technical assistance to ensure constant contact and reduce travel and intervention costs.
Sysdata's contribution
Besides lending their expertise to web
development and design and introducing
highly innovative technologies and
advanced protocols for remote
communication with the customer's
automatic machines, Sysdata took great
care in managing the project, bringing
the task force of the electronics
department closer to that of the IT
department to ensure that every phase
of the project was carried out
successfully.
Business challenge
In terms of after-sales support, by
aligning themselves with and attempting
to boost innovation in the development of
the sector, G.D. planned to design a web
and mobile technology platform featuring
a usable software capable of putting the
back office in contact with the end
customer's maintenance workers,
translating the information into
comprehensible instructions through the
use of multimedia chat and video
conference calls, making it possible to
view the equipment in real time.
10
Topic – Mobility and Internet of Things
Predictive Maintenance
Improve Mean Time Between Failures. Create new value-added services and revenue streams. Reduce
machine down time.
By remotely acquiring data (if necessary, using big data platforms as well) from sensors on equipment or
machinery, break-downs and malfunctions of the individual parts can be forecast using a statistical
analysis model. This innovation ensures a stream of information to process for modernising tools and
procedures in various business departments: from Production to Sales.
Business needs
The design, development and supply
sector of global solutions and integrated
systems for the off-highway vehicle
market is currently evolving to take into
account the capabilities of new
technologies as a means of overcoming
the limits imposed by the more traditional
dynamics of management and
maintenance.
Being able to remotely control the
electronic control units installed on
industrial vehicles becomes a real asset
and opportunity to provide new services
to end customers.
Sysdata's contribution
The goal of the web platform developed
by Sysdata is to remotely manage the
control units installed around the world.
The solution allows for all the equipment
to be managed and controlled, for the
configuration to be updated and for
information to be provided to the end
customer as to how to correctly operate
the control unit. All done remotely. Data
can be integrated on demand and
technical support is informed at all times
on how each piece of equipment is
functioning.
11
Topic – Mobility and Internet of Things
Connected Insurance
Enable a new insurance business model. Provide a dataflow on customer behaviour. Ensure premiums
on policies determined by risk profile.
The distribution of embedded devices specifically for insurance, of mobile devices in the hands of consumers,
of IoT and Big Data, allows new service and business models in connected insurance to be determined.
Business needs
An insurance agency and a car maker
have signed on to a partnership which
develops new scenarios in the insurance
telematics market. The agreement offers
motor vehicle buyers intelligent liability
insurance policies. A dedicated mobile
app offers a series of services: from
geofencing to trip history and driving
style alerts. Even a percentage discount
is given thanks to one’s ability to drive…
safely.
Sysdata's contribution
Sysdata accompanied the insurance
agency’s team as they designed the
entire app and in the development of
integrations with the automobile
manufacturer’s control units. This
guaranteed complete support throughout
the full development lifecycle for the
mobile application’s design and ensured
that a complete, integrated, high-quality
solution was provided.
12
Topic – Mobility and Internet of Things
Home Automation
Domotics and the increasingly widespread distribution of connected devices allow new business services
and paradigms to be determined for operators specialised in home automation, and suppliers of Consumer
Packaged Goods. For players in this field it is imperative to capitalise on these opportunities, to offer their
clients means of interaction suitable for users increasingly used to being “always on”.
Business needs
Zoppas' growing interest in the
development of a cloud platform capable
of remotely communicating with its own
devices was combined with the
development of an innovative after-sales
service that would integrate new digital
services to be able to contact end
customers. The new line of smart heated
towel racks, designed to be combined
with mobile and web applications that
can safely and remotely adjust the
temperature, is in itself an experiment in
the communication between electronic
components and a cloud system.
Sysdata's contribution
To meet the Customer's business needs,
Sysdata drew on their skills to design
and create the software architecture.
Additionally, in order to collaborate on a
diverse range of projects – from the
Cloud to the development of apps,
including the web portal – Sysdata put its
project management skills into action,
further assisting Zoppas in assessing
and comparing the IoT cloud platforms
on the market.

Topic
Experience Management
Experience management and interaction design are key elements for the successful implementation of any business process or
service for employees, clients and partners. The interaction models offered by new technologies have led to the rules on the
interaction design of products and digital services to be rewritten. Sysdata places analysis and the study of users and their
interactions at the starting line, for any design activity, from strategy to comprehensive implementation of a graphic interface.

UX & Customer Engagement
We customise the message, we study the interfaces to provide information, not data.
We place the user centre stage. We study their social demographic profile, explore their needs and
understand their expectations. We interpret every piece of information, summarise it and present the design
so that the solution is consistent with the user experience the user requires.
Sysdata's contribution
From discovery, to architecture, to
production, Sysdata guided the client
through every stage of analysis, in a
process designed to clarify the elements
necessary to the development of an
innovative tablet solution. Sysdata
created the graphic interface for the new
mobile sales tool, checking not just all
elements of usability, but those for
integration with desktop systems as well.
Business needs
A tablet and smartphone application for
presentation to the banking sector with
an innovative interface.
Phoenix wants to examine how to
develop its support systems for the sales
network in mobile terms, adding to its
offer a CRM version that can be adapted
to tablet and smartphone, with some
custom functions.
15
Topic
Digital Signage
An electronic display system for information, promotional communications and other messages. Digital Signage is used in both
public and private areas, shopping centres and company offices. Display screens are usually controlled by common IT services,
through special software programs, avoiding massive expenditure in equipment. Digital signage initiatives must be designed as a
component of the customer journey and must be integrated with other customer experience enablement platforms.

Topic – Digital Signage
Digital Retailing
Direct the customer towards display areas, increasing the time that the customer remains on the premises
of the point of sale.
Increasingly, digital technology can enhance the consumer's experience and the moment of purchase at the
Point of Sale, when integrated within the physical design of the store.
Business Challenge
The unification and convergence of data
into a new system was, from the outset,
one of the priorities of Generali Italia,
who inevitably included the streamlining
of information management methods,
even for sectors related to the Sales
Force.
Hence, the need for a trusted partner,
who, while developing an “organisational
machine”, could add innovation and
expertise to the terms required.
Sysdata's contribution
Sysdata stood alongside the Customer
through every step of the project,
providing their skills right from the start,
and bringing to the table their own
contributions – feasibility studies as well
as collecting and analysing
requirements, planning, developing,
validating and testing, starting, operating,
maintaining and evolving the information
system.

Topic
Workforce Automation
With the help of digital tools, companies can now operate on-the-go, making support services more efficient, promoting the shift toa paperless environment, and cutting down intervention times. The operations centre receives requests for intervention and canthen assign the task to operators located across the territory. Similarly, always by means of digital solutions, operators can sendthe information to the operations centre, closing the workflow and filing all documents produced directly in back-end informationsystems.

Sales Force Management
Manage Customers, position reading, history of negotiations. Manage commercial products, catalogue of
offers and organise sales presentation. Plan appointments, calendar and geolocation of routes.
Increasingly, mobile business management makes it possible to improve the service provided to the sales
network and its end clients. Through digital solutions, the client position is always updated and the complete
offer is available to the sales session. Information is available anywhere, at any time.
Business Challenge
The rapid evolution of products, their
growing complexity and the diversity of
customers require substantial effort in
order to perfectly enhance the value of
the quality of an investment
proposal. Add to these challenges the
inherent complexity of managing a large,
highly professional sales network that
needs to be kept continually up-to-date
on the market, the products and the most
strategic services. In this specific case,
Mediolanum's requirement also involved
the launch of a new range of financial
products, such as unit linked plans.
Sysdata's contribution
In light of Mediolanum's needs, Sysdata
planned and developed an app for
tablets which would not only serve as an
attractive, engaging pre-sales tool, but
would also help Family Bankers to
promote the bank's latest products.
The application features simulation tools
designed to pinpoint the most appealing
product configuration for the customer in
real time.

Field Force Management
List of intervention calls, planning interventions, and geolocation of routes. Report the intervention,
manage attachments, notes and memos. Close the intervention call.
Increasingly, digital technology is at the service of mobile businesses and it modernises the processes
between the operations centre and the technical support team in the territory. The automation of the
entire intervention process has influenced the shift towards a paperless environment, the filing system and
the response time, corroborating the service upgrade.
Aimag
• Sysdata was at Aimag’s side to study
the flow of interactions between: The
Operational and Technical Assistance
Centre to dematerialise the workflow
related to assistance tasks.
• In addition to software design,
planning and development, Sysdata
also saw to the maintenance of the
Mobile System, post go-live,
developed on hybrid technology.
Danieli
• Danieli requested a Mobile App which
would make the various components
supplied by third parties within their
plants conform to contractual
specifications.
• Sysdata offered its know-how on the
design and development of the
interface to make it as functional as
possible, in addition to the integration
with the client’s ERP system.

Distribution Channel Management System
Management tool for the data and processes of the distribution networks of a company or corporate group, maximising the time to market and assuring flexibility and scalability in accordance with businessregulations and their variations.
The Distribution Channel Management System (DCMS) aims to support the structure of a centralisedmanagement system for the data and processes of the distribution networks of a company or corporategroup, maximising the time to market and assuring flexibility and scalability in accordance with businessregulations and their variations.
Business Challenge
Based on the need to stabilise broker
registries, Cattolica required a system to
rationalise the then dispersed,
asynchronous organisation. In this case,
the added value comes from the creation
of a categorical view of the sales network
structure, which includes aspects relating
to points of sale, network organisation
and contract management, and the
global coordination of various offices.
Sysdata's contribution
With extensive practical experience in
the insurance market acquired over time
through relations with major groups in
the sector, Sysdata was more than
willing to accept Cattolica's challenge as
a reputable consultancy firm capable of
acting as the link between management
components and IT. In developing
software, alongside waterfall assessment
activities and conducting functional
analyses, one based on the Agile
procedure was carried out which allowed
for innovative solutions to be introduced.

Workplace Management System
The Boston Consulting Group wanted to re-think the management of the work spaces and tools for their
consultants. This new office management philosophy required the definition of new rules and new tools which
will help its professionals, leveraging simplicity of use, flexibility and mobility
Sysdata teamed up with the client to define this new concept and to shape the potential for new Web and
Mobile based technology to increase the productivity of its professionals and to reduce costs and waste
Business Challenge
The Boston Consulting Group is a
global management consulting firm
In line with a new definition of the profile
that introduced a series of technological
innovations to reduce costs, increase
flexibility, lower environmental impact,
and stimulate creativity within the
company, The Boston Consulting Group
took advantage of the renovation of their
Milan headquarters to rethink the
traditional office concept with a dynamic
and contemporary angle
Sysdata's contribution
Working on a dual desktop-mobile level,
Sysdata carried out a detailed functional
analysis to accompany the client in
defining the requirements of this
innovative solution.
Sysdata then managed the execution of
the project for both the UXD portion and
for the responsive web-based solution
used, with different permission levels, by
various BCG employees (professionals,
executive assistants, receptionists, back
office administrators)
