Why Does ReinventingStudent Experience Matter?
Creating a better student experience! A “school” is steel, concrete, mechanical systems, furniture, equipment, facilities, grounds and finishes. The time, collaboration, planning, effort, resources and intentionality that it takes to build a “school” is immeasurable and the end result is often viewed as the pride of the community.
● Do we hold ourselves to that same standard and sense of pride when designing the student learning experience for every child in that “school”?
● What happens when the “school” isn’t an available resource any longer for a day, a week, a month, or a year?

Today’s learning happens ubiquitously through personal connectivity, digital media, designed experiences and resources that transcend beyond the bricks and mortar we take such pride in. It is time we adapt to creating a better student experience both in the school building and outside the walls of the school.

A ubiquitous, yet trusted expert/resource/tool that seeks to pass timely and relevant knowledge and experience on to others in a specific discipline/field.
What is Mavin? Mavin is a FREE Engagement Management System that is safe, secure, simple, and sustainable for students, families, and schools. Mavin is the “front door” to daily access and engagement in all domains of high-quality, personalized learning through a mobile phone, wireless device and/or app.
Whether in the classroom, at home, in the workplace or in remote learning environments, Mavin provides reliable access to learning, consistent and predictable delivery of content, a personally owned and managed educational record and talent profile, timely notice to families and caregivers, and progress monitoring and reporting for educators. Mavin is Equity in Education!

❏ Superintendent and Principal submit “Commitment Letter” committing Middle School and High School implementation
❏ Superintendent and Principal communicate decision and expectations to the school staff and students/families impacted
❏ Superintendent commits to ensuring every middle school and high school student will have a mobile device capable of connectivity (leveraging free government programs.)
❏ All involved educators will complete MASSP Stage 1 (Foundation) on-demand training.
❏ Principals and Counselors will complete MASSP Stage 2 (Onboarding, Reporting, Monitoring) on-demand training.
❏ Students/Families are provided an orientation to the Mavin Platform along with account credentials. Daily Mavin engagement counts toward grade.
What is crawl implementation?
❏ Principal and Counselor monitor student engagement with their MTSS Intervention Process. Regular updates/dashboards are provided to the Superintendent
❏ All involved educators complete MASSP Stage 2 (Onboarding, Reporting, Monitoring) on-demand training
❏ A cohort of 5 - 10 “Early Adopter” teachers are identified by the Principal in each MS and HS. These should represent a range of grade levels, subjects, experience, and diversity. (One ELA teacher from each grade must be included.) These staff will engage in MASSP Stage 3 (Responding to Student Work) on-demand training
❏ “Early Adopters” will practice issuing feedback to students assigned to them and meet as a PLC with the Principal and Counselor
❏ All involved educators complete MASSP Stage 3 (Responding to Student Work) on-demand training -
❏ All students begin the 4 week Career Exploration project. ELA teachers will review student responses for Accept/Reject with options for feedback
What is walk implementation?
❏ “Early Adopter” Teachers, Counselors, and Principal attend MASSP Stage 4 (Creating High Quality Content) on-demand training
❏ “Early Adopter” Teachers, Counselors, and Principal practice creating/selecting and deploying High Quality content
❏ All involved educators complete MASSP Stage 4 (Creating High Quality Content) on-demand training
❏ All educators are engaged in creating/selecting and deploying High Quality content to students in the Mavin Platform. The Mavin Platform will be an integrated Student Engagement System for Face to Face and Remote Instruction.
