EXPERIENCE. The key to a safe, successful, and fully integrated hypobaric chamber system that is not addressed in any code.• Since 1973, ETC has commissioned more than 40 hypobaric chambers worldwide.
• ETC is the most experienced manufacturer of ASME/ANSI PVHO
compliant hypobaric chambers.
• ETC Customers include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Federal Aviation
Administration, worldwide military aeromedical centers.
• ETC is currently manufacturing a suite of Altitude Chambers
for the USAF.

Trainee SupportOXYGEN AND COMMUNICATION
Trainees in the FALCON Hypobaric Chamber are supported with full function oxygen
and communication stations. ETC can integrate the type and number of oxygen
regulators specified by the customer. Alternately, ETC can integrate ETC’s proprietary
programmable oxygen regulator.
AUTOMATED PSYCHOMOTOR ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (APAS)Instructors can use ETC’s Automated Psychomotor Assessment System (APAS) to
assess the trainees performance prior to the chamber flight and during the chamber
flight hypoxia demonstration, using a battery of specialized tests. APAS provides
immediate feedback and results can also be stored to support debriefing.
ETC’S REACTOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RMS)
ETC’s Reactor Management System (RMS) supports the recording of trainee reactions
during the chamber flight. The screen at the instructor station is intuitive and allows
the data input of student location within the chamber, profile type (Initial, Refresher,
R/D, Pressure Suit, Medical Monitoring, Research, etc.) and reactor data.
Design and ConstructionDesigning and manufacturing a safe chamber system requires not only compliance
to the applicable code, but careful attention to the integration of systems, sub-systems,
and materials to achieve total system safety.
The FALCON Hypobaric Chamber is designed and manufactured in compliance with:
• ASME / ANSI PVHO 1 – Safety Standards For Pressure Vessels For Human Occupancy
• NFPA 99B - Hypobaric Facilities
• NFPA 70 – National Electric Code
• CE - Communauté Européenne (if required)

Manual Control System | Communication System (3 Channel with emergency backup) |
CCTV Monitoring and Recording System | Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System |
ETC’s FALCON chambers are man-rated by ETC’s Aeromedical Training Institute (AMTI) for design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and operation safety. The result is an integrated system that is safe for human occupancy.

The ETC Difference:AUTOFLIGHT Control SoftwareAll Hypobaric Chambers are controlled by ETC’s proprietary control
software, AUTOFLIGHT. AUTOFLIGHT is an advanced, multi-lingual,
and user-friendly software that provides environmental and
atmospheric control of the chamber. AUTOFLIGHT offers proven
reliability and a standardized interface while providing an abundance
of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) options for the customer.
AUTOFLIGHT is housed in the Operator’s Control Console where all programming, system start up, operation, and overall monitoring
of operational and safety functions can be easily managed. All chamber control functions are displayed on intuitively configured
screens that guarantee vital chamber information is immediately available to the operator. This rapid access to information ensures
efficient chamber operation and enhances trainee safety.
TURN-KEY FACILITY
ETC can design and build a
customized turn-key facility to
accommodate any chamber
and accompanying equipment.
Additionally, ETC offers
on-site operational and
maintenance support.
