Brookside is a one-of-a-kind Minnesota resort for a few reasons.First, we are one of the largest Minnesota family resorts in thestate. Our size means we have both the space and facilities toaccommodate everyone in your family ranging from a heated–swimming pool & sauna to a 9 hole golf course to a vintage videoarcade to supervised activities all day, every day.
Second, we are family owned and operated for the last 40 years!This means that our family takes tremendous pride in maintaininga beautiful vacation spot but also that serving families is at the–core of our family’s values. Brookside Resort is located 10 miles south of Itasca State Park and14 miles north of Park Rapids on Two Inlets Lake. Our 29housekeeping cabins are clean, modern, and air-conditioned and weare constantly making upgrades and improvements to both thecabins and the facilities.
Those facilities include a heated swimming pool, sauna, miniaturegolf course, 2 large playgrounds, shuffleboard court, basketballcourt, tennis courts, 9 hole golf course, video arcade, ice creamfountain and sand volleyball court.
Our big project for the summer of 2019 is a renovation to our pooldeck! Because this is one of our most popular amenities and a mainhub for families on vacation, the new space will be bigger andbetter. Other projects include replacing windows, a new septicsystem for Cabins #1-#4, more new stoves, and more progress onour bed upgrade plan!

CABIN 29Purchased in 2016 - Cabin 29 is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, A-frame cabin boastinga beautiful, lakefront screen-porch, and completely private lot - including dock, firepit, and fish cleaning station. It can sleep up to 9 people and rents from SUNDAY-SUNDAY.
DEPOSITSTentative reservations may be held for up to 5 days without a deposit.
Full deposits are due by January 1st. A portion of the deposit is requiredto hold your reservation.
CANCELLATIONSDeposits are refunded only when the opening created by the cancellationis filled, minus a $100 processing fee.
FALL GETAWAYSFall is a wonderful time to visit Northern Minnesota to see thechanging colors, enjoy good fishing, participate in local events andactivities, check out the bike trails at Itasca State Park or just enjoy thepeace and quiet. We offer reservations during any time of the week -with a 2 night minimum. FREE BOATINGBrookside has a fleet of watercraft to useduring your stay. A 14' aluminum boat comeswith your cabin rental. FREE for our guests touse are canoes, kayaks, paddleboards,hydrobikes and sailboats. Rentals availableinclude a ski-boat with 200 HP motor (gear,gas, driver included), a 20' pontoon, a brandnew 14' fishing boat (with 20 HP motor, depthfinder and trolling motor).We furnish life jacketsto our guests at no cost.PLEASE NOTETHATWE DO NOT ALLOW ANY JET SKI TYPEWATER CRAFTS at Brookside.
FULL SERVICE LODGEThe lodge is centrally located and providesactivities including ping-pong, pool table,pinball, videogames, saunaandheated indoor-outdoor swimming pool in the game room with aplayloft upstairs for the kids. Our Snack Bar isanothergatheringspotwithgames, library,sodafountain, and the famous “Brookside Hooker”game. Our lodge also offers FREE wirelessinternet.
TENNIS COURTSOur double tennis courts are located at ourgolf course and always FREE for registeredguests. We have now added Pickle ball linesand a weekly pickle ball tournament. Bothtennis and pickle ball racquets are availablefor use to our guests!
RECREATION AREABrookside has an extensive play area.Facilities include a softball field, pavedbasketball court, 9 hole miniature golfcourse, grass playfield, sand volleyball court,pirate ship and castle playground.Equipmentfor the games is available in the lodge and allare FREE of charge.
FISHINGTwo Inlets Lake is 2¼ miles long, ¾ mile wideand 650 acres with structure for good variedfishing. Come fish walleye, northern pike,crappie, bass, and panfish in our clean lake.Each cabin shares 32' dock space with oneother cabin. Motors are available to rent. Wecarry live bait and limited fishing pole rentals.Modern fishcleaninghouse isavailable.
KINDERNOOKWe provide supervised kids’ activitiesMonday thru Friday from 9:30-11:30 AM forchildren ages 2 through 7. The programincludes a combination of free play, storytelling, nature walks, songs, crafts and otheractivities to help keep the kids happy andentertained. The Kindernook area is afenced-in playground with play-house,swings, and sand box. The minimum age forKindernook is two—we cannot give one-on-one supervision to toddlers.
SWIMMING POOLCome swim in our unique Indoor-Outdoorpool. The 800 sq. ft. heated pool is built withthe shallow end (3-4 ft.) inside the lodge andthe deep end (5-9 ft.) outside surrounded bysunning deck. The pool hours are 10 AM to9 PM daily and no lifeguard is on duty. Adultsonly swim is offered each night from 9-10 PM
GUEST LAUNDRYOur guest laundry includes 2 coin-operatedwashers, 3 dryers and a large folding table.The laundry is open 24 hours. Please usebiodegradable soap which is available in thelodge.
NIGHT LIFEBrookside has a no excessive noise policyafter 11 PM. If you’re looking for a placewith late night campfires and partying, weare not for you.

Brookside is a one-of-a-kind Minnesota resort for a few reasons.First, we are one of the largest Minnesota family resorts in thestate. Our size means we have both the space and facilities toaccommodate everyone in your family ranging from a heated–swimming pool & sauna to a 9 hole golf course to a vintage videoarcade to supervised activities all day, every day.
Second, we are family owned and operated for the last 40 years!This means that our family takes tremendous pride in maintaininga beautiful vacation spot but also that serving families is at the–core of our family’s values. Third, we offer an extensive weekly activity schedule to ensure thateach member of your family has lots to do during your vacation.Our activities include: A Kids’ Pool Party, Kids’ Cruise, Mini GolfTournament, supervised Kindernook fun (ages 2-7), FREEwaterskiing lessons, Kids’ Fishing Contest, Sandcastle Contest,Minnow Races, Golf Tournaments, Pickle Ball Tournament, Staff vs.Guests Kickball and Volleyball, and of course– – BINGO!
Brookside Resort is located 10 miles south of Itasca State Park and14 miles north of Park Rapids on Two Inlets Lake. Our 29housekeeping cabins are clean, modern, and air-conditioned and weare constantly making upgrades and improvements to both thecabins and the facilities.
Those facilities include a heated swimming pool, sauna, miniaturegolf course, 2 large playgrounds, shuffleboard court, basketballcourt, tennis courts, 9 hole golf course, video arcade, ice creamfountain and sand volleyball court.
Our big project for the summer of 2019 is a renovation to our pooldeck! Because this is one of our most popular amenities and a mainhub for families on vacation, the new space will be bigger andbetter. Other projects include replacing windows, a new septicsystem for Cabins #1-#4, more new stoves, and more progress onour bed upgrade plan!

CABIN 29Purchased in 2016 - Cabin 29 is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, A-frame cabin boastinga beautiful, lakefront screen-porch, and completely private lot - including dock, firepit, and fish cleaning station. It can sleep up to 9 people and rents from SUNDAY-SUNDAY.
DEPOSITSTentative reservations may be held for up to 5 days without a deposit.
Full deposits are due by January 1st. A portion of the deposit is requiredto hold your reservation.
CANCELLATIONSDeposits are refunded only when the opening created by the cancellationis filled, minus a $100 processing fee.
FALL GETAWAYSFall is a wonderful time to visit Northern Minnesota to see thechanging colors, enjoy good fishing, participate in local events andactivities, check out the bike trails at Itasca State Park or just enjoy thepeace and quiet. We offer reservations during any time of the week -with a 2 night minimum. Great rates available - including a 2-personspecial and a 15% discount for anyone who had a reservation with usduring the 2019 summer!
