Our work in this caregiving field offers many challenges and sources of stress, physically, mentally
and emotionally. Our own self-care is vital to maintaining our health and wellness and our ability
to keep on supporting those who need us ~ at school and at home. As a line from Shakespeare’s
Henry V states,“Self-love, my liege, is not so vile a sin/As self-neglecting.” Join us for this
opportunity to nurture your mind, body and soul and replenish the well.

I am a high school science teacher who found
yoga as a way to balance the demands of the
profession and a body history of sports
injuries. My goal is to bring yoga as an
energetic practice to as many folks who are
willing to show up and give it a try. I
emphasize making yoga accessible to a wide
variety of practitioners through
modifications, to meet the individual's needs,
so we walk away empowered, relaxed,
positive and strong. I have been a yoga
instructor for five years, but a practitioner
for over a decade. I am a certified 200 hour
YT working toward my 500 hour certification.
This is a yoga session designed to promote wellness
for all practitioners.

Ayurveda is a way of complimenting a yoga practice
with healthful eating and living to promote the body's
amazing ability to self-heal. It is an ancient practice
which modern science is just beginning to catch up on
and back up with research. We will explore some
main tenets of Ayurveda, in a lunch workshop, where
we'll also enjoy a couple tri-doshic dishes to bring the
body into balance. All food will be vegetarian, and
most will be vegan and dairy-free (or those options
will be available).

Our bodies, by nature, require movement to learn,
relax and be able to drop into our bodies. Hooping
incorporates movement by using a larger hoop while
receiving sensory biofeedback. What can Mindful
Hooping do for you?

Liane is the Staff Development Coordinator at
CiTi. Her passion and her work center around
mindfulness and embodied learning. Her goal is
to serve and support others as they transform
their inner lives, because she believes, as
Parker Palmer says, “We teach who we are.”
She is currently participating in a year-long

health and wellness and methods of use. Participants
will have the opportunity to make 5 different roller
ball blends. Since this make-and-take is optional, each
roller ball blend is $5 cash to be paid on the day of the
